Lol.

I have friends who live, work and study in abroad, particularly in the UK. Most times when coming back for a visit, they do come with some boxes of chocolates.
Really? How do they manage it? every time, i buy chocolate from the UK even before boarding at Heathrow. By the time I get to my father's Village in the south East. The whole 3 large boxes of chocolates have melted in the Nigerian Heat/Sunshine.

Hello Everyone,

I’ll be traveling back to Nigeria for the Christmas Season. This’s my first trip back home in almost 8 years.

I’ll be flying from Newark, New Jersey to London, England for via United Airlines &

I’ll be flying from London, England to Lagos, Nigeria via Etihad Airways.

So my current itinerary is: Newark, New Jersey – London, England – Rome, Italy – Abu Dhabi, UAE – Lagos, Nigeria.

I’ll be spending a day in London, England & two days Abu Dhabi, UAE

Join me as I share my trip experience back to my Motherland.

As we welcome you back home after 8 years, please be security conscious and take your personal security very serious. Boys are not happy at all and I know you are not the reason but please be safe while you are home.
Just heard a bitter story about a friend that just came in from Morocco (a basketball player)...after chilling with friends for two days nonstop, same set of friends conspired, robbed and maimed the fellow and left him for dead. But that will not be your portion...just be safe!

Please how much does this hotel cost you per night?
Alexandre7:
Day 1

Thanks to everyone following this trip

Now the journey begins from the hotel I stayed in which is Marriot Hotel, a nice hotel close to the BWI Airport.

It’s a high rated first class hotel, one of the few hotels you might want to stay at whenever you visit Baltimore Maryland.

Moving now to BWI Thurgood Marshall Rail Station, I’ll update as soon as I get to the Rail Station.

Stay turned.

Interesting thread Alexandre7,

Thanks for sharing.

Quick one: you mentioned that only Americans, Canadians, EU citizens and Australians are allowed to use the "smart option" in Heathrow. Does this not apply to say Japanese, Singaporeans and South Koreans?

Looks like you have one way ticket. Those are really expensive especially the return.

With advance technology, I didn’t have to go through the regular Customs & Immigration Line.

As a United States Citizen, I was directed to the smart gate & all I had to do was scan my U.S. Passport & the machine takes my picture and grants me access into London.

The whole process took less than 3 minutes.
Did you guys see this? I am shedding endless tears right now for my nation.

They dont even respect you in your own airport, so why would foreign country respect you?
salford1:

I remember by days of traveling with naija passport. There was a time I was singled out by a border official in Paris CDG airport. I was almost stripped search. They said I look suspicious. Naija passport holders have little respect in foreign countries.

Yes I do.

But they only asked for my U.S. Passport.

Only British Passport Holders, European Passport Holders, U.S. Passport Holders, Canadian Passport Holders & Australian Passport Holders are allowed to use the smart gate.

Lol, if na Nigerian passport you hold, they go screen you tire. If possible Drug test, thorough searching, still you will be on watch list.
