the reason for this my question is as a result of a lady that i met she said she wanted to teach or train me how to be speaking in tongue,so i was disturbed on whether speaking in tongues is gift from God or they receive training as claimed by this lady,so bible scholar share your opinion on this because she is seriously disturbing me.

You are a Christian, yet you don't even begin to know or accept the Truth of Jesus Christ, as given to you since 2000 years ago. Are you any better than those you look down in thinking you do so on behalf of God?

Please pick up the Gospels and read them through using the understanding that God has already given you - starting with basic human language comprehension skulls- and ditch the special interpretation magic which deluded you and your lot.

Jesus Christ said in Matthew 13 vs 10 - 13 that it is to those who use the understanding they have that more understanding will be given. Those who refuse to use the understanding they have will have even the little they once had taken away from them - this is a reference core lesson taught by Jesus Christ in the Parable of the 10 talents - Matthew 25 vs 14-30

The reason why after claiming to be a Christian for so long, you still have next to no Truth about the Kingdom of God is because you have been feeding from the crumbs and regurgitates that fall from the mouth and tables of Mogs, the false teachers and false prophets who Jesus Christ warned you had the devil as their master.

These are the people God gave the gift of the Tongue for, as Paul, they can preach to a diverse group of people in any locality.

Most people are not as they are, they mostly speak one language and when they are taught a foreign tongue, it is very difficult for them to learn.

But these linguists learn it in a blink of an eye.

But you see, brother, what is done today, the speaking of unknowledgeable words is pure nonsense and wasn't what was done then.

When people spoke in tongues in ancient times, they spoke one language and people from different cultural backgrounds, languages, and heritage, understood them.

Suppose Paul was in a Hebrew land (with non-Hebrew visitors from around) and spoke Hebrew, of the gift of the spirit, the Greeks, people of Corinth, people of Ephesus, Igbos, Ijaws, Yorubas, etc., understood him! They weren't speaking nonsense! The gift allowed them spread the message far and beyond language barriers...not speaking ecstatic pronouncements of gibberish.

Now I ask you, is what that was done then the same with what we hear and see today?
