I think is about time our ladies started dressing like women of God to the church, we all know that dressing in skimpy clothes to a place of worship is not right, even if no man is lusting out on u. Can any lady wear skimpy clothe to the Mosque? NO that is because their is a standard in Islam regarding the way u dress up for worship even if i'ts in the corner of ur room.

I'm a member of RCCG, whenever i'm in my church i'm able to concentrate and focus my attention on the holy spirit because i don't get distracted by ladies (because thier are no kimpy dressers in my parish). Whan i visit some other churches i notice that i get distracted a lot, lots of sweet looking ladies around. Is this my fault? i'm i suppose 2 see a good thing and not look? i'm human (i no be Jesus) and it only takes the garce of God even for a man of God not to fall into such temptation.

I believe that our ladies understand how to dress decently especially to places of worship unless they want to be dishonest with themselfs. Worship is not just a thing of the mind alone as some pastors have made us to believe, the way u dress is also a part of it.

This issue of female wearing trousers was no issue like 20 yrs ago, it was just normal and right for female not to wear trousers, even non-christians knew it was not proper. Why does it now become an issue with a lot of people, Christians and even pastors inclusive saying that female wearing trousers does not matter? I only hope this is not one of the fulfilment of the scripture:

Just like the story that male students were being picked up for having braided hair, I would not take any story from PM news seriously(moreso when I have not read or seen it on any other responsible medium). They have a way of distorting the real news and sensationalising it.

Yes, the church could tell its members(*Workers*) to stop wearing skimpy or tight things but am not sure they would order for the total ban of trousers. Jeans trousers that are not tight are actually decent loking on ladies and are appropriate for some kind of outings.

i dont think anybody should be able to tell another human being what to wear or what not to wear, except if the other person has signed away his/her rights to this person. For example school students and prisoner dont have a right to say what they want when it comes to what they should wear, and i believe the society will agree that this is acceptable. Also if you go to a place(town, city, country) that believes in a certain tradition about dressing and it is a law laid down, then you dont have a choice but to act like the romans because you are in Rome.

I wonder if RCCG falls into this category of places? Do people now worship God under duress of conditions and rules?
Although I am a Christian, I find that christianity as we practice it, is one of the most limiting religions in the world. It is also a lazy man's religion. why do the officials at RCCG not weed out the bad eggs in the basket? why break the camel's back completely, just to find a little flea on its back skin?

Anyway, i think the authorities who make laws about women's clothing without putting in place measures to protect women's human rights are totally wrong. Personally I believe women should be encouraged to learn martial arts, because of the men who will want to take advantage of these foolish and not-well-thought out laws to abuse and even rape women. I say this also because if any woman's human right is abused because of these laws, the men making the laws will say "well, she deserved it!"

Even at that, skirts and other female attires don't come cheap in the market.

I haven't come across any verse in the Bible that persuades us that trousers were designed for men!

that trouser is d cheapest thing in d market, you can get a trouser for 2k, but skirts from 4k upwards so dats not d issue at all, I go 2 baptist we don’t wear trouser 2 church, which is fine by me. Wear them anyday, anywhere, if you may. I don't think there's any substance in making a case for why it is not okay to wear to "church", while at the same time giving it ace outside "church".

I don't see anything wrong in trouser-suits for women - worn to church or office. It's a matter of what statement we're making of ourselves before God and man.

am a firm believer in wear whatever makes you comfortable, what has trouser wearing got to do with soul winning, by the time we start recommending what to wear to church we should expect to see more badly behaved people (girls) in our society, who knows if they had been allowed to wear their trousers to church things might have been differnt.

That's precisely what I'm saying - and I quoted the part where you said so earlier. If it's not right to wear to church, it's not right to wear anywhere else. The Church today needs to rediscover itself instead of making endless rules to plaster over real issues.

The real issue here is not that the church doesn't permit it - afterall, if the same people who don't permit me come to my office and see me in what they don't 'permit', what moral jurisdiction would they have to dictate my office dress-sense?

I'm not rebelling against Church authority. I'm all up for moral decency - and that's what I see in the WORD. Whether it's wrapper, trousers, skirts, etc - let's just observe the principles offered in the WORD, rather than let some people push their own discomforts on others.

Is it not worse if miss A keeps her trousers at home on Sunday mornings just to please G.O., but wears the same trousers on Sunday evenings near night clubs?
