Hello @miimssss
Finally found a same day applicant, I also applied on 19th May, still waiting and hoping for a positive response. You can order for your GCMS note so far you're the primary applicant. But we'll just have to be patient we're already 11 weeks into the processing time. At least some early May Applicants got PPR last week, hopefully we should get ours this week too.

I'm on a journey of faith.

It'll end in praise, Stay Calm.

Good afternoon All,

My application was submitted May 19th and I’m still waiting for a response from IRCC. I’d like to order GCMS notes to ascertain the current status of my application. However, I’m confused. I used an immigration lawyer (she submitted the application as my representative) and I would like to find out if personally ordering my GCMS notes affects my application in any way.

Hi Happinesssss, happy new month.
My friend had 13 years study gap, but got into Advanced Nursing pathway.
You should ask the school to give you admission for a course that would allow you complete the necessary prerequisites for Nursing. This will serve as your first year in Nursing program e.g. Bachelor's in Art. It is a program that allows you to select courses as you choose.
I don't know how to explain better, but I know Biological science is one of the requirements for advanced studies and it's just a 3 units courses.
All the best.
Happinesssss:
Good morning everyone, and gurus in the house .....

Please I got admission to Concordia university of Edmonton to study Biological sciences, but am currently writing my SOP for my visa but finding it difficult to explain why am studying this course.

Actually I choose biology because I wanted to use it as a pathway to nursing, since I applied to 5 schools in Canada for nursing but my application got rejected even after passing ielts and Casper test. ....well I guess I was rejected because I have 4years gap study and there is a valid reason for that which I explained to the schools in details.

Well, the thing is that I was thinking of telling the Visa officer that I will be using the course as a pathway to nursing....or any other advise I can get from you guys.

OR

Should I just apply and write something else on my SOP without mentioning the fact that I will be changing to another course, . ..or will my application get rejected.

Please I need advice

Hi Cowbell521,

Thank you for confirming my data, even though I obtained it through personal experience as I mentioned initially.

Below is another poster from the UK Student Visa thread whose comment also confirms the accuracy of my data. @ TOSM, I hope you have more than enough information to make the right decision.

Hi everyone I am new on Nairaland my friend just introduced me here he said I can post anything concerning my travel and I will get answers. I want to go for my BSc and it is my first time applying so I got a refusal in May based on personal assets and financial purposes I have ordered the gcms note and it is yet to be delivered. I want to reapply now so my dad is my sponsor but he wants to use his company as my sponsor (he is the owner of the company). I. In the last application, some people said one of the reasons was because I didn’t submit my statement of account and all of that but I am 19 and I am still a dependent is the ere a need for me to submit my account or is there any need for living expense to be transferred to me? I am open to all suggestions please if you have any advice or you had a similar application kindly reach out to me in this thread I wait for your replies. Thank you.

While awaiting your GCMS note , I will state that you do not need a statement of account as a 19years old. Ensure your dad puts in his account statements - both company and personal. He should also put in CAC document that shows should he owns the company . He should get a reference letter from the bank for the accounts. Also add other investments/Property documents if available
He should write a letter of support starting his income, how he will support you etc. in addition to this, he should provide a notarized affidavit of support . Pay your fees and attach the receipt (Not compulsory though). Remember to add your birth certificate that clearly shows father -child relationship .

Kindly share with me the link to the IRCC Portal. I've searched for it but it's GcKey I keep on seeing.

Hello Kolajero,

The first link is to create an invition code that will be sent to your email, which will then be used to create the IRCC Portal using the second link.

Hello Nairalanders,

Please your input would be appreciated. I applied for fall term and my resumption date is September 6, 2022. I applied for my visa on June 13, 2022. Till now my eligibility has not started, would it be a good idea to defer my admission to winter term while I wait for IRCC to make a decision ? Or just wait it out, the 12 weeks processing time will probably be up by the end of the month or spill into September .

Thank you.

Hello Gilb231,

Be patient for a finalization outcome. You can always defer before the commencement of your session if a decision is not reached by then. You can defer at least 2 weeks to class resumption to get an early response.

Hello Ysth,

Not all applications to study in the Atlantic province are rejected. But, the visa chances with admissions from Atlantic institutions, particularly colleges, are (extremely) lower than those in Ontario.

I was refused based on personal assets and financial status. Based on what I’ve learnt on this thread, I believe I have tackled almost everything that could be wrong with the former application. Hoping for the best with the help of God.

Scott99tish:
Why the rush ?
GCMS is the only thing that will tell you the exact reason for refusal, to know how to tackle it rightly…

Well, best of luck on your new application.

What date did your bro start the process for AccessBank?

Because I started mine last month on the 4th still waiting to be debited.

Still on ADB DISBURSEMENT REVIEWER

daezy22:
Yes, still waiting on debit. Both transactions won’t go on the portal, just one of them.

I’ve not used access personally but I can attest to 3 approvals within the 30 days timeline. My cousin got debited by them this morning and I had to call Unity and EcoBank again. (I’ve been calling for weeks)

I initiated with access bank last week Thursday and they rejected it because I didn’t fund the account. So I’m thinking of moving one of the funds.

I know this may vary as fx is turning to something else in Nigeria, so await opinions from others as well if you plan to use them.

Dear Ajaxa,

Are you saying your course at Unilorin was for 5 years? Also do you know why US rejected your application? That being said, cheap schools is relative, the consensus here is that if you want cheap schools you have to look towards outside Ontario province, you can google the schools that offer the MBA and then check if they require language tests, you further engage them for waiver since you first degree was taught in English.

All the best

Confirm how much you paid for the transmission, most times it is because the amount paid is incomplete.

Hello Morenikeji25,

It is not compulsory, however since you don't have any strong economic ties and despite still being dependent on your parents, it will help your application best if your father deposits your LE expenses for one (or two) session(s) into it.

If a 3 y/o baby accompanying the mother for study can be denied on the grounds of Personal Assets & Financial Status while the mother was approved, I don't think there is an exception for a teenager. It is your father's responsibility to ensure you can demonstrate adequate ties to the officer, especially through social ties and minimal economic ties.

Your parents can connect you to their investments in every form possible. In the absence of providing your bank statement, your father can pay your first-year tuition. For UG study, in my preference, I always recommend paying for two sessions.
