I have done the trade system registration and afterwards I went to GTB to ask if I could use my savings account with them, but I was told it's not possible. Please which bank is best for Form A?

Hi TOSM,

Below is the data I have accrued from last month:

Banks & their average Length of Transaction (LOT):

1. Unity Bank ----- 2 weeks
2. Eco Bank -------- 3 weeks
3. Access Bank ---- 1 month

Note: These data and my suggestions are based on personal experience.

I can't wait to read your testimony!

Ecobank isn’t 3 weeks

A transaction since June 23 is yet to be disbursed!

Also unity bank is no longer two weeks, they are currently unpredictable.

Access bank is now working with the 30 days timeline after approval and this is still accurate as at today.

Hi SaniceSanice123,

I am not aware of any law in place that prohibits your friend from visiting the Schengen country in question. However, she might need to get a no-objection letter from the Student Support/International Student Services (ISS) of her institution or any department that is saddled with student support services. Most Schengen countries would require a printed 3-month (official) bank statement – this is where she might have a problem if she hasn’t operated a Canadian bank account for three months, but let us hope the country in question accepts an electronic bank statement from Nigeria.

I hope this helps.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate

that is a great idea.
i did exactly that, however, my GCMS notes were delayed. it has been overdue for 23 days now. hope it arives when it clocks 60 days processing time by Aug. 08.

Visa Application have already passed the 12 weeks processing time.
fingers crossed.

Thomsyne:

If I were you, just like I plan to do, once my application is about 5 weeks, I'd order GCMS notes. From what I have noticed, the notes will contain the status of your application at the time it is sent to you. That way, your mind will be set on the notes - away from the application itself, and surely once the two months are up, the next couple of days/weeks will be set on PPR.

Wish us all good luck.

Shalom.

Hi everyone I am new on Nairaland my friend just introduced me here he said I can post anything concerning my travel and I will get answers. I want to go for my BSc and it is my first time applying so I got a refusal in May based on personal assets and financial purposes I have ordered the gcms note and it is yet to be delivered. I want to reapply now so my dad is my sponsor but he wants to use his company as my sponsor (he is the owner of the company). I. In the last application, some people said one of the reasons was because I didn’t submit my statement of account and all of that but I am 19 and I am still a dependent is the ere a need for me to submit my account or is there any need for living expense to be transferred to me? I am open to all suggestions please if you have any advice or you had a similar application kindly reach out to me in this thread I wait for your replies. Thank you.

Hi Aezy22,

I do not work for these banks. Therefore, I will not argue their preeminence with you. However, you might want to improve yourself by picking a dictionary to check for meanings of "average" and "personal experience".

I won't dignify you with any more response.

Hello Nairalanders,

Please your input would be appreciated. I applied for fall term and my resumption date is September 6, 2022. I applied for my visa on June 13, 2022. Till now my eligibility has not started, would it be a good idea to defer my admission to winter term while I wait for IRCC to make a decision ? Or just wait it out, the 12 weeks processing time will probably be up by the end of the month or spill into September .

Thank you.

Wow! Why not do an email to the guys you ordered the GCMS notes from? I saw someone's comment on the previous thread saying they fired those guys emails and the GCMS notes came out within 72 hours or so. Also, do a mail to the Beijing, London and Nairobi offices tirelessly and reach out to the MPs where your school is located. Decision delay is one thing, they shouldn't be delaying GCMS notes too.

Wish you all the best!

I only gave an updated information, I don’t know why you feel attacked?

Last I checked, this platform is to guide people and if anyone feels that an information is inaccurate or not up to date, they are free to update the thread.

Maybe you should improve yourself by getting your head checked. ASAP!

Hi Morenikeji25,

You are welcome! Yes, this is where you get the answers to all your immigration questions.

Sponsorship from parents to a child is not classified as third-party sponsorship by IRCC. I would advise you to calm down and wait for your GCMS note.

Personally, I do not think your visa was refused because your Dad was declared as your sponsor.

Sorry about the denial.

Hello house,

What is the best thing to do? For someone doing affidavit of Gift Deed, is there any need for sponsorship letter or just the affidavit of Gift Deed is enough.

Yes, still waiting on debit. Both transactions won’t go on the portal, just one of them.

I’ve not used access personally but I can attest to 3 approvals within the 30 days timeline. My cousin got debited by them this morning and I had to call Unity and EcoBank again. (I’ve been calling for weeks)

I initiated with access bank last week Thursday and they rejected it because I didn’t fund the account. So I’m thinking of moving one of the funds.

I know this may vary as fx is turning to something else in Nigeria, so await opinions from others as well if you plan to use them.

We did not go through all this wahala for my brother. No need to move your money becuz access might bring another problem. I saw some bad comments about access own too. All the same. gigdraft is very correct with the timeline. I just think everyone can not have the same timeline

GCMS is the only thing that will tell you the exact reason for refusal, to know how to tackle it rightly…

Well, best of luck on your new application.

Hi TOSM,

Below is the data I have accrued from last month:

Banks & their average Length of Transaction (LOT):

1. Unity Bank ----- 2 weeks
2. Eco Bank -------- 3 weeks
3. Access Bank ---- 1 month

Note: These data and my suggestions are based on personal experience.

Hi Cowbell521,

Thank you for confirming my data, even though I obtained it through personal experience as I mentioned initially.

Below is another poster from the UK Student Visa thread whose comment also confirms the accuracy of my data. @ TOSM, I hope you have more than enough information to make the right decision.

Good afternoon All,

My application was submitted May 19th and I’m still waiting for a response from IRCC. I’d like to order GCMS notes to ascertain the current status of my application. However, I’m confused. I used an immigration lawyer (she submitted the application as my representative) and I would like to find out if personally ordering my GCMS notes affects my application in any way.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by AkeemTy(m): 2:20pm On Aug 01, 2022
same situation as you although I applied for a study permit on 7th June 2022. I will go do the upfront medicals on 3rd August 2022 so nothing disrupts my chances of resuming classes on the 6th September if eventually my study permit is approved. The school I applied to does not do deferrals and i must resume for the first day of classes. So timing is running out on me. I will suggest you book upfront medicals also within this week as spaces can run out fast.

Hello Ysth,

Not all applications to study in the Atlantic province are rejected. But, the visa chances with admissions from Atlantic institutions, particularly colleges, are (extremely) lower than those in Ontario.

I don't know how true this information is, but at least just last week more than 3 families came in to NS via the study route.
Also, a friend from Jamaica just came in and she is attend NSCC Akerley Campus in Dartmouth, NS.
Please, run your application and don't allow anyone tell you what is not.
Also, NS is a fast growing province, and as you said they need people due to the boom in business and big companies opening up here such as Amazon, Greybar, Dell, Microsoft etc.
Wish you all the best.

Thanks for the feedback. Are you saying I need 30kcad aside the 25kcad I have on ground aready? And is the 30kcad for everything all what? Every body keep saying I need sponsorship. I don't really no what to do

Hello Eddy2farm,

If you are a mature applicant and/or have vast work experience, the best option is to be self-sponsored. If you're able to show C$30,000 after your tuition and LE, the better you're able to show that there are sufficient available funds. Another to thing consider is demonstrating good socioeconomic ties.
