Yes am doing a bsc and I have an olevel result with 4Bs and 4Cs ...one B in maths and the remaining Bs are in the 3core science subject,,and lastly one C in English and that was why I wrote ielts ( well for my 4years gap, I actually got admitted to a missionary school after secondary school, and during my stay there I got a year computer diploma.. though it was not from a college or university, it was just a normal computer school.

Profgordons:

What was your initial field of study and what were you doing during your four years gap? I don’t think studying biological sciences is the easiest path to studying nursing. Also are you trying to do a Bsc?

Why not just apply for May 2023, instead of deferring?

Hello everyone, My husband got admission to a college in quebec and we want to pay the tuition fee. Please how do I go about it as I intend to use bank rate in doing that. Heard there is a platform on CBN that can be used for this purpose. Please help, thanks.

Review the payment options of your school, generate an invoice using any of the payment options then proceed to the CBN portal with your invoice, letter of admission, university degree certificate and a written letter of authorization to debit your account for the payment.

Congrats on your admission.

Admission is not opened for spring 2023 yet so I'm thinking if I can get the admission I'll just defer till spring and use the time for the study permit

You have 5 months from today 1 August to process your study permit and that's enough time considering the 3 months estimated process time by IRCC.

Now here's what you need to check;
Be sure the school will agree to allow you defer your admission against resuming online when it's time to resume, if not simply apply for another intake.
The earlier you apply, the better because the more you take time to think, you may never get your self to actually apply.

At the end it is up to you to make your decision.

Good luck.

My application clicked 1 month and a week plus today, as of now no updates has been seen on my portal. Both Biometrics and Medical haven't been uploaded. I ve sent webforms and emails, this morning I discovered my mails were blocked to the Nairobi mailbox.

I've decided to let it go and enjoy this Month

Good evening all. A friend arrived Canada, but wants to visit her husband in one of the schengen countries next month, how possible is it? She hasn’t stayed morethan two months in Canada
Hi SaniceSanice123,

I am not aware of any law in place that prohibits your friend from visiting the Schengen country in question. However, she might need to get a no-objection letter from the Student Support/International Student Services (ISS) of her institution or any department that is saddled with student support services. Most Schengen countries would require a printed 3-month (official) bank statement – this is where she might have a problem if she hasn’t operated a Canadian bank account for three months, but let us hope the country in question accepts an electronic bank statement from Nigeria.

I hope this helps.

I quite agree with you, but people’s cases can be quite different and there is a need to maintain peculiarity for each application.

HOW TO SUBMIT FORM A

With the scarcity and unstable rate of foreign currency in Nigeria presently, the most suitable option for a student might be Form A. At the moment, 1 USD is above N700, which is outrageous. Hence, I will be taking you on the easy process of accessing foreign exchange at the Central Bank of Nigeria or interbank rate.

Note: the guideline below is a key to submitting your Form A form electronically – in the comfort of your home. How easy is that?

How do I obtain foreign exchange at the interbank rate? Don't worry, it is simple, and I will take you through it.

Step 1
Visit www.tradesystem.gov.ng

Step 2
Click on GO TO PORTAL

Step 3
Select Individual (as a student)

Step 4
Enter your 11-digit Bank Verification Number (BVN) and click continue

Step 5
Your BVN-registered email address will welcome a mail that contains a one-time password (OTP). Enter this password and click CONTINUE

Step 6
Create a password, verify your email and activate your account.

Step 7
Go to Form A and click on CREATE. Note: under Shortcut to Common Transaction Purposes, you should select Education Fee and Education Services, for Type of Services.

Step 8
Fill out other sections of the form, which are illustrative. Attach documents such as your passport data page, letter of acceptance, school invoice, etc.

Step 9
Submit the form and await your debit notification and payment confirmation from your proposed tertiary institution.

P.S. This might take weeks or even months.

I hope I have been able to straighten and clarify your haze.

I can’t wait to read about your beautiful POE experience.

If I were you, just like I plan to do, once my application is about 5 weeks, I'd order GCMS notes. From what I have noticed, the notes will contain the status of your application at the time it is sent to you. That way, your mind will be set on the notes - away from the application itself, and surely once the two months are up, the next couple of days/weeks will be set on PPR.

Wish us all good luck.

Shalom.

Hello Creativebelle

MBS can be done through the bank app on your phone (not all bank Apps have this function though, so confirm).

Or better still, you can go to the bank and request they send MyBankStatement (MBS) to Canada embassy. When this is done, an email that contains your Ticket Id and password will be sent to you..

Its this page containing your Ticket Id and Password you will submit with your other documents..

Make sure you request for a Reference letter from the bank though..

Peace

The bank send to the Embassy immediately you are given the single printed sheet containing your details/code and your account is also debited accordingly.

The MBS is sent immediately while u are expected to also attach the printed copy from your bank in your application.(proof of fund section)

I hope this helps.
