Where is Jesus presently?

Apostle Paul said his desire is to depart and be with the Lord - Philippians 1:23.

When the saints die or sleep in the Lord, their spirits go to be with the Lord.

At rapture, they will return with Christ to put on a glorified body.

Revelations 21:3 and 22/23

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and GOD HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

What God planned for OBEDIENT descendants of Adam is a resurrection on this same planet earth {Job 14:13-15} but that doesn't mean they will get a direct Visa to everlasting life, all humans must pass through the teachings of Christ before they can qualify for everlasting life that's why they will all be resurrected and during Christ's 1,000 years reign we will teach them what Christ taught they must comply or they will return to their graves that time no more resurrection that's what the Bible called the second death! Revelations 20:13-15

If they are pure in heart, the kingdom of God is theirs…It’s not about religious beliefs, it’s the state of the heart that matters.

Matthew 5 v 8;
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God

Proverbs 4 v 23;
Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Give the fact that Jesus Christ is God's New Covenant, from the moment He began teaching, it is safe to conclude that all He taught was not to change the Old Covenant and context but to establish the New Covenant and context. undecided

The Blessings of God's New Covenant apply only to those who do the Will of God which is to submit to and obey the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, God's Law, and Truth in the Kingdom of God -

They could have been since they were before the time of Jesus Christ, God's Covenant and Law that made the Kingdom of God available to men. undecided

But what about those particular cases causes you to cite them here? Is it written somewhere that either of Job, Ahab, or even Ruth was judged righteous for being "pure in heart"? undecided

Is the question whether they were judged righteous because they were pure in heart? OR...you are disputing what Jesus said "Blessed are the pure in heart, FOR THEY WILL SEE GOD"

My argument/position obviously has nothing to do with the first question. You were the one who brought up the argument that the beatitudes only apply to those who are born again...hence my asking, were Job, Ruth and Rahab born again?

Was Simeon in Luke 2 v 25-32 also born again? Well...John 3 v 3 holds the answer which connects all the dots;

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again".

Those who are pure in heart are obviously born again as well...be they Old testament or new testament saints/believers. Since according to the words of Jesus "the pure in heart will see God"

1. I don't dispute what Jesus Christ said. Instead, your twist on what Jesus Christ clearly said is what I dispute. undecided

Right before Jesus Christ began His Work, He is said to have established the context of His teachings beginning in Matthew 4.
12 Jesus heard that John was put in prison, so he went back to Galilee.
13 But he did not stay in Nazareth. He went to live in Capernaum, a town near Lake Galilee in the area near Zebulun and Naphtali.
14 He did this to give full meaning to what the prophet Isaiah said:
15 “Listen, land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali, lands by the road that goes to the sea, the area past the Jordan River— Galilee, where those from other nations live.
16 The people who live in spiritual darkness have seen a great light. The light has shined for those who live in the land that is as dark as a grave.”
17 From that time Jesus began to tell people his message: “Change your hearts and lives, because God’s kingdom is now very near.[c]” - Matthew 4 vs 12 - 17
He didn't approach the people, in any wise, as just any teacher. Instead, He approached them from the very beginning as one who was promised by God through His Prophets, the agreement of peace that they had all been waiting for. undecided
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.
7 If you really knew me, you would know my Father too. But now you know the Father. You have seen him.” - John 14 vs 6 - 7
The same Jesus Christ is also written to have made clear that without a relationship with Him, no one can see God. So, clearly, what He said in Matthew 5 vs 8 applies only to those who are of Jesus Christ .i.e. of the Kingdom of God. undecided

2. Clearly, according to Jesus Christ Himself, one must have a relationship with Him in order to access God via the Kingdom of God. So, I still don't know why the mention of Job, Rahab, and Ruth. Are they recorded to have seen God outside of Jesus Christ or what? undecided

3. Your questions are confusing. Did Simeon see God? How did you establish this claim of yours that Simeon was pure of heart and so hence born-again? undecided

According to the same Jesus Christ, to be born-again, one has to be born of water and born of Spirit...
1. There was a man named Nicodemus, one of the Pharisees. He was an important Jewish leader.
2 One night he came to Jesus and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a teacher sent from God. No one can do these miraculous signs that you do unless they have God’s help.”
3 Jesus answered, “I assure you, everyone must be born again. Anyone who is not born again cannot be in God’s kingdom.”
4 Nicodemus said, “How can a man who is already old be born again? Can he go back into his mother’s womb and be born a second time?”
5 Jesus answered, “Believe me when I say that everyone must be born from water and the Spirit. Anyone who is not born from water and the Spirit cannot enter God’s kingdom.
6 The only life people get from their human parents is physical. But the new life that the Spirit gives a person is spiritual.
7 Don’t be surprised that I told you, ‘You must be born again.’
8 The wind blows wherever it wants to. You hear it, but you don’t know where it is coming from or where it is going. It is the same with everyone who is born from the Spirit.” - John 3 vs 1 - 8
... so how could Simeon have circumvented Jesus Christ's own decree as regards how to become born-again? undecided

So Simeon would not see God? Simeon is not pure in heart nor born again?
Is that your argument? Can someone be righteous and devout, yet not see the kingdom of God? Bearing in mind Jesus mentioned one must be born again to see the kingdom of God... AND, the pure in heart will see God undecided

What are the odds of being righteous, devout and moved by the spirit, but yet you are not born of the spirit? undecided

Luke 2 v 25-32;
25 Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
26 It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.
27 Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required,
28 Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29 “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace.
30 For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31 which you have prepared in the sight of all nations:
32 a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.”
33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.
34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against,
35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

1. So Simeon would not see God? Simeon is not pure in heart nor born again?
Is that your argument?
1. Simeon was an Old Covenant Law of Moses righteous man, and the promise of that Covenant only guarantees the righteous Life forever in the Land of Canaan - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20.

What this means is that for Simeon to see God - a promise made by Jesus Christ to those who are of the Kingdom of God - , he, Simeon, would have needed to adopt God's New Covenant, Jesus Christ, and then lived a life of Righteousness based on the New Covenant Standard, in addition to the Old Covenant Righteousness which he already had. undecided

A fallacy in your position is assuming “born again” is just a New Testament thing.

So what do you make of the author’s prayer in Psalms 51 v 10-13?

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
so that sinners will turn back to you.

By the way, Job was not an Israelite…yet he was deemed upright by God so…

Hehehe all Churchians from different denominations with their own interpretations and references to support their ignorances and non will agree that he is wrong cos they put references to support their claims. Are you ppl not confusing others and yourselves with all these? The Sovereign father is not an author of confusion pls. Your current bible is an Europeanised version of holy scripture. The Messiah they told you all or sold is not the true Messiah. You guys were warned to beware of false prophets. Your Jesus is not the true Messiah. Their are 2 Messiah's in that new testament. The true Messiah and his teachings can be found in the gospels but in epistles they gave you another one. The one who equal himself with God in everything and he is against God's laws which He never abolished. The God many call is the god of this world and it is in your Bible. Not the Soveregn God. Beyond this earth their no one named God or Jesu. You guys are all decieved. Infact all will be decieved by the wicked one even the elect (elect are not Christians but those chosen by the father and they have been coming with the son in all his incarnations into earth. They have been chosen since the foundation of this world)

No one can be saved with teaching of your Jesus. You all are were told to wait cos of what the Europeans did to the Hebrew scripture and the one they gave you as the true Messiah. All their lies must be exposed. They themselves will confess it. All you teach are the corrupt gospel that is why their is confusion, arguments and lies. It can't save anyone. If it could, their would have been changes in the world since.

The Messiah will first come and illuminate a few. He will teach them the true gospel and empower them to go and teach it everywhere with great signs. He will be with them in the flesh not spirit. That final and true gospel is different from whatever you all know. That is what will be used to judge anyone based on their believe of it or not. That gospel all on earth must listen to it including all your pastors, imams, bishops etc That last gospel is what you will see in Matt 24, Rev 18. All on earth must hear it. The one they programmed for you as the Christ or Jesus is not him. When you see someone who will come as it is written but not with the name you all had in mind, many of you will reject him. Jesus is not his name. That is the name of the European plagiarised Messiah. Be careful

One of your Pastors once saw a thin man probably black and fire was everywhere. He called him a thin man cos he don't know who he was. If your pastor don't know who are you to know? Maybe he was expecting to hear jesus and to see an oyibo man but nothing of such ...but he knows he was a great one with poweful contenance. And I tell you, he saw the true Messiah and he is not Jesus. I tell you also he will make a show of your religions cos they all thrive in falsehood. Don't be decieved by miracles , appearance, false righteouness etc. Wake up and shine your eyes so you don't be decieved. It is the gospel of the true Messiah and the ones he choosed and taught that will be used to judge the world. Jesus is the son of Pope Alexander vi. His true name is Casare Borgia. His father the false god of world then gave him that name Jesus. His pictures his what many Catholics used and it was hand painted by Leonardo da Vinci. Shine your eyes. You guys can insult if you want. The truth shall surely come one day. As written in the books "he will decieve you all". Shine your eyes.

1. A fallacy in your position is assuming “born again” is just a New Testament thing.

2. So what do you make of the author’s prayer in Psalms 51 v 10-13?

3. By the way, Job was not an Israelite…yet he was deemed upright by God so…
1. I am afraid the fallacy here is born from your lack of understanding of what it means to be born-again. You see, according to Jesus Christ, to be born-again means to enter into the Kingdom of God - John 3 vs 1 - 8 -, and according to HIs teachings, the following are the minimum of necessary steps to gain access to the Kingdom of God.

@ You must believe in Jesus Christ
@ You must eat His body and drink His blood in order to obtain Eternal life
@ Baptized in water to show that one is changing from following the OLD WAY to following the NEW WAY
@ You must be born of spirit*. Note that even all those who enter the Kingdom of God through the Broad gate that leads to destruction(Hell) are also born of spirit.

2. What David spoke of is not of being born-again. Instead, it reads of the Old Covenant anointing which he likely first experienced when he was anointed king by the prophet of God in the same Old Covenant. That is nothing like being born-again. undecided

3. Abraham, Abel, Noah, Enoch, Shem..... were also recorded as righteous men by God, and none of them were Israelites. Is there a particular question associated with this or something? undecided

* Not to be confused with the Spirit of God since Jesus Christ made it abundantly clear in His teachings that only those who know the truth and are set free by the Truth - those who live their lives in continuous submission and obedience of His teachings and commandments - will be baptized by the Spirit of Truth aka Spirit of God - John 14 vs 15 - 17 & John 14 vs 25 - 27.

John 3 v 3 mentions no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again. Where did Jesus list that second point you mentioned (eat his body and drink his blood) in his discussion with Nicodemus in John 3 as a criterium to see the Kingdom of God?

And just to add, are you telling us the Old testament saints would not see the Kingdom of God too?

You obviously or deliberately missed the point. You have to be born of the spirit right? Why was David asking God not to take away his Holy Spirit from him? Or was David no longer filled with the spirit of God? David's heart was not cleaned up? A man after God's heart would have his prayers unanswered?

Will these righteous men see the kingdom of God? Yes or No.

If yes, were these men "born again"?

If no, how would they see the kingdom of God if they were not "born again"?

1. Read up on what the very same Jesus Christ went on to teach no on the subject of eternal life, which is promised to those who are born-again. undecided
53 Jesus said, “Believe me when I say that you must eat the body of the Son of Man, and you must drink his blood. If you don’t do this, you have no real life.
54 Those who eat my body and drink my blood have eternal life. I will raise them up on the last day.
55 My body is true food, and my blood is true drink.
56 Those who eat my body and drink my blood live in me, and I live in them.
57 “The Father sent me. He lives, and I live because of him. So everyone who eats me will live because of me.
58 I am not like the bread that your ancestors ate. They ate that bread, but they still died. I am the bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.” - John 6 vs 53 - 58
2. God's promise to them in His Old Covenant never included access to the Kingdom of God so how could they have had access to that which was never made available to them in the Old Covenant? undecided

3. In God's Old Covenant, God "anointed" individuals whom He chose with the Spirit of God.
16 The Lord said to Moses, “Bring to me 70 of the elders of Israel. These men are the leaders among the people. Bring them to the Meeting Tent. Let them stand there with you.
17 Then I will come down and speak with you there. The Spirit is on you now. But I will also give some of that Spirit to them. Then they will help you take care of the people. In this way you will not have to be responsible for these people alone.
18 “Tell the people this: Make yourselves ready for tomorrow. Tomorrow you will eat meat. The Lord heard you when you cried out and said, ‘We need meat to eat! It was better for us in Egypt!’ So now the Lord will give you meat. And you will eat it.
19 You will eat it for more than one, or two, or five, or ten, or even twenty days!
20 You will eat that meat for a whole month until you are sick of it. This will happen to you because you complained against the Lord. He lives among you and knows what you need, but you cried and complained to him! You said, ‘Why did we ever leave Egypt?’”
21 Moses said, “There are 600,000 soldiers here, and you say, ‘I will give them enough meat to eat for a whole month!’
22 If we were to kill all the sheep and cattle, that would still not be enough to feed this many people for a month. And if we caught all the fish in the sea, it would not be enough for them!”
23 But the Lord said to Moses, “Don’t limit my power! You will see that I can do what I say I can do.”
24 So Moses went out to speak with the people. He told them what the Lord said. Then he gathered 70 of the elders together and told them to stand around the Tent.
25 Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to Moses. He put on the 70 elders some of the same Spirit that was on Moses. After the Spirit came down on them, they began to prophesy.[c] But that was the only time they ever did this. - Numbers 11 vs 17 - 25
The nature of these anointings was not permanent as a man could have the Spirit of God, one day....
9 Just as Saul turned to leave Samuel, God turned Saul’s life around. All these things happened that day.
10 When Saul and his servant came to Gibeath Elohim, Saul met a group of prophets. God’s Spirit came on Saul with great power, and Saul prophesied with the prophets.
11 Some of the people who had known Saul before saw him prophesying with the prophets. So they asked each other, “What has happened to Kish’s son? Is Saul also one of the prophets?” - 1 Samuel 10 vs 9 - 11
... and then a wicked spirit the next. undecided
14 The Lord’s Spirit left Saul. Then the Lord sent an evil spirit to Saul that caused him much trouble.
15 Saul’s servants said to him, “An evil spirit from God is bothering you.
16 Give us the command and we will look for someone who can play the harp. If the evil spirit from God comes on you, this person will play music for you. Then you will feel better.”
17 So Saul said to his servants, “Find someone who plays music well and bring him to me.”
18 One of the servants said, “There is a man named Jesse living in Bethlehem. I saw Jesse’s son. He knows how to play the harp. He is also a brave man and fights well. He is smart and handsome, and the Lord is with him.”
19 So Saul sent messengers to Jesse. They told Jesse, “You have a son named David. He takes care of your sheep. Send him to me.”
20 So Jesse got some things as a gift for Saul. Jesse got a donkey, some bread and a leather bag full of wine, and a young goat. He gave them to David and sent him to Saul.
21 So David went to Saul and stood in front of him. Saul loved David very much. David became the helper who carried Saul’s weapons.
22 Saul sent a message to Jesse. “Let David stay and serve me. I like him very much.”
23 Any time the evil spirit from God came on Saul, David would take his harp and play it. The evil spirit would leave Saul and he would begin to feel better. - 1 Samuel 16 vs 14 - 23
... and there was no eternal life installed to any of those of the Old Covenant while they lived. Eternal life was only guaranteed if they succeeded in dying as righteous men. undecided

The Old Covenant's temporary anointings do not in any way fit with that described by God Himself where His New Covenant is concerned in Ezekiel 36 vs 25 - 27 - and in no way compares in detail to that explained by Jesus Christ in His teachings. undecided

Think about it. If a man can be righteous one day and unrighteous the next - Ezekiel 18 vs 1 - 32 - as is the case with Old Covenant living, wouldn't it mean he would have to be born of spirit one day, and the next un-born-of-spirit and so on and so forth? undecided

4. Again, according to Jesus Christ, only those who are born-again can enter into the Kingdom of God, and it is only through Him - the New Covenant - that anyone can see God. So, without being born-again and without being a part of the New Covenant, no man can see God. undecided

John 3:3-7
3Jesus answered him,
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless a person is born again
[reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified],
he cannot [ever] see and experience the kingdom of God.
4Nicodemus said to Him,
“How can a man be born when he is old?
He cannot enter his mother’s womb a second time and be born, can he?”
5Jesus answered,
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you,
unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh [the physical is merely physical],
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Do not be surprised that I have told you,
‘You must be born again
[reborn from above--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified].’

Fellas, watch and with rapt attention, watch to this. You can see, experience and feel the power of America, but for you to enter into America, you must meet certain criteria, as no one ordinarily enters America anyhow or just like. Thats simply because certain requirements must be met

Kk, lets head back to the Nicodemus' clandestine private meeting, he had with Jesus (i.e. John 3:3-7 above)

At John 3:2, yes, Nicodemus recognised, admitted and confessed that he has observed the demonstrated power and moves done by Jesus, and all these events and occurrences that left him with the impression that they were all of God, so at John 3:3, Jesus informed Nicodemus that, its only a person born from on high or above, which also is known as being 'born again' (i.e. regenerated or renewed essentially) that is capable of seeing, that all those events and occurrences, the demonstrated power and move done by Jesus are all of God.

Then to buttress and reinforce the point, Jesus after seeing that Nicodemus, looked puzzled about being told of 'born again' then at John 3:5, went further, to explain that its combination criteria, that is required for, to enter the kingdom of God even. The decider, qualifier, or the game changer is to be both born of water (i.e. the amniotic fluid) and born of God (i.e. the Spirit)

My beloved two brethren OkCornel and Kobojunkiee, yes we all (e.g. Rahab, Ruth, Simeon, Job et cetera) get born of the Spirit, from the moment will believe. Now as believers, the instalment of the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of the Spirit soon after follow in tandem

Now here's an interesting fact, naysayers, scoffers, mockers, cynics, pagans et cetera dont see, never see and never will see anything good about the kingdom, for the simple reason because they are not born again. They are not born from above, and so are not spiritually rebirthed aka not regenerated, or nor renewed.

It's more the reason, we have atheists, it is because regeneration has not taken place in atheists and all and this is why they are quick to rubbish and/or never want to acknowledge any moves, demonstrations and power of the kingdom of God. They dont believe who Jesus is, that He is God and that the miraculous signs are evidence that God is with Jesus, who is the preincarnate and incarnate God

So my two beloved brethren, that's a modest bird-eye view of what it means to be born-again. Born again, is meant to be a given. To acknowledge God, to accept, confess, recognise, appreciate, own up, concede, realise and admit occurrences or events of the demonstration of the power of God is proof that one is born again aka born from above (i.e. anew).

Born Again in regards to believers, being a given, is the reason why Jesus never publicly preached about it. The state of being born again only came up for discussion accidentally, and even Jesus reprimanded Nicodemus for being a teacher of Israel and not knowing biblical basic no-brainer things, such as 'Born Again', 'seeing the kingdom' and 'entering the kingdom'

Personal text: Jesus is not a theologian. He is God who told stories.

It started after the fulfillment of the prophecy in Joel 2:28. I bet you did not see that either.

You must be on drugs. Keep joking until the day you are left behind because it will take place in our generation.
