Forfeiture..

So APC has finally agreed that Tinubu forfeited $460,000 to the US government.
No government, except a rogue government, in the world will ask a person to forfeit N460000 without court prescription for the Forfeiture.

You can cry till your eyes tear like rags. We don't care.

With your low IQ. I know you can't understand a thing there even if psqure sang it into your ears.

You are presenting your argument from both sides of the divide. For the #dasukigate "brotherhood", you said said they were guilty but not convicted, eventually reaching an out of court settlement. The court did not pronounce them guilty before most of the culprits, who you'd refer to as the defendants (Dasuki, Bafarawa, Dokpesi, Metuh etc) reached a plea bargain. A more appropriate analogy would have been the case of Doyin Okupe who was convicted with a 2-year sentence before settling for an option of fine.
For Bola's case, problem is there is no evidence of a criminal conviction or a plea bargain. The forfeiture for the famous 460k is enveloped under a civil case, and not a criminal one

what are u saying? He was guilty and forfeited to avoid jail. There was no conviction like okupe because tinubu knowing he stood no chance admited to guilt and was offered a settlement.

okupe didn't admit to guilt bt rather claimed he was innocent bt the court proceeded and found him guilty.

if tinubu didn't accept the Forfeiture settlement he was going to jail as he was clearly guilty.

According to the write-up, APC's argument here is that, the American Court was not against Tinubu but the various sums of money lodged in his account ooo.

So those crucifying Tinubu should free him ooo because the guilty person here is his money which American Court has arrested and prosecuted and not his very person who is innocent. In APC's voice ooo

Lol

Well if you are a fiduciary, an accountant or investment banker, you might have clients money deposited in your bank account. Do you know for sure where all the money came from? If one of those clients did yahoo and it was later traced to your account, you go forfeit that money and could possibly face further prosecution.
Then it means I'm culpable. There's no way such money would be deposited in my account without me knowing. If Tinubu wasn't culpable or didn't abate that crime, he wouldn't have allowed that money to be forfeited that way.

Mind you, I once lived and worked in America and had bank accounts. You can't even accept one dollar to be paid into your account if you know you won't be able to defend it. You won't allow your name to be dented too cos you could go to jail. Every penny counts. The law works there for and against everyone, unlike here in Nigeria where the law was made only for only the masses.

Well, for those that care to hear what APC said as reason for the forfeiture;

The forfeiture order was made against the bank account of Bola Tinubu and not the person of Bola Tinubu, claims BAT.

With this, all the boys EFCC are arrested in regards bank fraud can now appeal there cases.

"....but a decree of forfeiture of the amount of $460,000 to the United State pursuant to..."

A Decree is a government order.
Except a rogue government, no other government can cause a person to forfeit a whooping $460,000 money not gained by the forefeiter from illicit business. Forfeited money to government is different from a fine paid to government.

Nobody is asking of any arrest, warrant but to ask the investigative team to affirm what the civil o criminal forfeiture was for?

Can a government ask anybody to forfeit funds when there is no crime, fraud or illegal funds suspected to be routed through such accounts? The enquiry through the IGP isn't enough. Get a DEA agent to testify before the courts so these matters can be laid to rest.

During the build up to the election Festus Keyamo claimed that the forfeiture of the sum was on tax but today they are owning up that it was truly civil forfeiture. Civil forfeiture for what? At least something must have warranted drawing out in part the money in your account. Thankfully many members of APC today had alleged Tinubu of the same offence.
Below is the link of their claim that it was a tax deduction:
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.thecable.ng/keyamo-tinubu-not-linked-to-drugs-funds-forfeited-to-us-were-tax-deductions/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjUxZ3t1KL-AhXLgP0HHYnuCL4QFnoECAwQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2C7Vt87y56XRBlD2fBxfgV

On the issue of Obi not legible to partake of LP primary because LP has submitted their party's list 30 days before primary. Submission of names to INEC does not bar party admitting members and there is no part of the constitution or electoral Act that proscribed that as soon as party submit names, new members should not be admitted in to the party. It is solely party affairs to admit members and to grant them waver to participate in the activities of the party including primary. APC defence here is weak, as the Appeal Court had even delivered judgement on the same issue and declared Obi is entitle to participate in the LP primary because no law bar new members from participating in party primary.
You can open the link below for more understanding.
I found this content which I want to share with you: https://l.kphx.net/s?d=5236991881368993482&extra=Q1RSWT1ORyZMTkc9ZW4tVVM= (From Phoenix)

On the issue of joining Atiku or not joining Atiku. Atiku wasn't declared winner of the election, of what use is joining him when Obi is claiming he got the highest lawful votes. Tinubu lawyers doesn't know what they are doing at all. The defence is watery and no logical back up by law.

Let the legal firework begins.

You can't even allow 10k of your money to be forfeited and you'd not be the first to cry out on NL for justice if it genuinely belongs to you. Over 300m naira is huge! You can't forfeit what belongs to you if no punishable offence was committed. Think about it.

Luckily for him, he wasn't indicted or convicted. He has no criminal record as far as the USA is concerned.

A team that is destined to lose a football match 1 - 0 will do everything in his powers and books to get an equaliser... They will keep struggling till the 90th minute and even into the extra-minutes but once the referee blows the final whistle all their agitations will come to a rest... Even if they complain about bad match officiating and the referee is fined or sent home, the goal still stands. The match will not be replaced. Abi, u don see where a match is replayed due to poor officiating?
You hardly see one. The result stands and the losing team will accept their loss and start preparing for the next match or tournament.

The same thing is happening here. Once Tinubu is sworn in by May 29, all the agitations of the Obidients and LP will rest... The election result stands. You guys should start preparing for 2027 or 2031....
