That does not matter, if you check states and it's population densities.
LAGOS is first, Anambra is second, Ebonyi and Imo are third and fourth.

You do not need a census to tell you that the information is correct.
Most part of the north is desert, you can drive some kilometers without finding a soul and that is why they score low in poverty per square mile.

But when it comes to number of poor people in percentage, the SE, SS and SW should take the low score while the north will take the crown

There is a state capture of all independent agencies. I knew NIGERIA'S Bureau of Statistics would put up any figure just to cast aspersions on the credibility of Peter Obi's poverty prevalence. Nothing is independent now in Nigeria. Nigeria needs a revolution. Come to Sokoto State and see what poverty is. Go to Kano, Katsina, Kebbi and Zamfara. Exactly my comment here. A lot of people don't know simple arithmetic, they can't interpret data, they don't even know it's usefulness. SE has the highest because is the smallest region in terms of land mass. This is simple.

quota people statistics. People wey their cut off mark from nursery to university na 2, with their graduate slaves, na I'm I go cun dey take their calculations as gospel.

Borno state alone is 3 times the size of south east with less population than south east.

So each person has plenty square miles of land to himself compared to south east.

Note, borno is not even the biggest state in the north.
