No standing up for themselves, if we attack Niger it's the northern states that will suffer the reprisal attacks. They have so many states that share borders with Niger that can not be effectively secured. Niger would most likely send strike teams into those states.

It's not like the Niger forces would ever be able to attack Lagos or anything south of Kaduna/Nasarawa but the likes of Kebi, Katsina, Borno, Zamfara, and possibly Kano would be a target they can reach
