ECOWAS is controlled by the west. It's them that wants this war. From what I can realise now, all of our leaders in ECOWAS are western puppet. Think about it, they own bank account in western banks, they keep their investments in the west, their children are schooled there, they go on vacation in the west etc.

That is why the diplomatic option is still active. Once diplomacy fails, the coupists will be forced out and legitimate power returned. The Sultan of Sokoto and Gen Abdulsalami will advice the government. Diplomacy for the coupists to entrench themselves in power will not be allowed. It may be that the US and France have assured him they will accept favorable decision by a compromised tribunal, remove santions from judges too and recognise fully his government. The clause is that he must do their bidding on Niger.
