Obi is lucky not to be President this period of hard times so his name will remain good.

Buhari made huge investments into Niger and we cant afford it being destroyed as form of protest

Make balabu still use other channel and leave war for now

Nigeria is no longer seen as that untouchable nation ooo, except if he sure for am that the Army can restore back the glory days sha

To that extent the junta embarrassed the diplomatic delegates sent to dialogue with them.

No economic sanctions, no military sanctions,

No coercive sanctions.

Let send the junta some palliative nah.

Totally unpatriotic Senate.

We don't need these wars.
Ecowas nations should not allow tinubu desperation for power move them to take the wrong decision. It will backfire.

Going to fight our own brothers because of this is stupidity.

Tinubu is a man that is so desperate for power. He is willing to do anything to hold on to power even if it means an unnecessary war.

Nigeria today is under the seige of a political coup. A coup against the constitution of a country is worse than a military coup.

Tinubu knows he does not have a chance with the cases in court. He is willing to do anything that will in anyway aid his political coup in Nigeria.

Tinubu does not have the moral right to engage Niger. The africa union should engage democratic leaders like Goodluck Jonathan, ruto of kenya, zambia president or any african leader who has a good personal record of democracy .
Pmb would have been one to lead such delegation to our brothers in niger unfortunately he is one of major players of the coup we presently have in Nigeria and so has no moral strength to engage the coup plotters in niger.

Nigeria had the greatest opportunity to become the role model of democracy for fellow africa nations in our presidential elections but the evil and miscreants politicians and corrupt INEC officials destroyed it.
Lets hope the judiciary will restore the dignity of our nation.

ECOWAS is controlled by the west. It's them that wants this war. From what I can realise now, all of our leaders in ECOWAS are western puppet. Think about it, they own bank account in western banks, they keep their investments in the west, their children are schooled there, they go on vacation in the west etc.

In our democracy, we don't really have the option of choosing who has our countries interest at heart, because by the time election comes, we are left with the selected few that are puppets based on the few mentioned points.

There is no hope for us Nigeria. ECOWAS wants this war because their western masters wants this war.

That's ehn, I have never seen this level of desperation from anybody dead or alive before. It's Obvious the evil cretin is headed for self destruction. Before attempting anything in Niger He must drop the time table to doing same in burkinafaso and Mali. Ejiots pretending to protect democracy.

DSS officials also denied claims despite the high court’s orders for his release. “He was immediately shifted to one of the hospital in Abuja. All proper medical treatment was provided to him at every stage,” an official said on condition of anonymity. Details still loading.[i]

Interfering in a coup that the citizenry supports is dicey.

The suggestions are spot on.

What piques me is that we have a Senate that identifies along regional lines. Not good.

Honestly we will be abandoned by those international communities drumming for this war. France who have been controlling the resources of French speaking African countries economy for decades should send their army.

Standing up for their distant cousins.

I disagree with you. War with Niger should be avoided at all cost. There’s lots of avenues to employ diplomacy.

Indigenes of northern states bothering Niger have cause to worry and I would do the same as the northern politicians if I was in their shoes. Imagine the loss of lives, properties, investments and the inevitable refugee crisis that will happen.

I hope someone sensible listens and do the right thing.

The Law is the Law! It’s clearly stated:

(a) the President shall not declare a state of war between the Federation and another country except with the sanction of a resolution of both Houses of the National Assembly, sitting in a joint session; and

(b) except with the prior approval of the Senate, no member of the armed forces
of the Federation shall be deployed on combat duty outside Nigeria.

(5) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (4) of this section, the President, in consultation with the National Defence Council, may deploy members of the armed forces of the Federation on a limited combat duty outside Nigeria if he is satisfied that the national security is under imminent threat or danger:

Provided that the President shall, within seven days of actual combat engagement, seek the consent of the Senate and the Senate shall thereafter give or refuse the said consent within 14 days.

We are also aware of the situation of Mali, Burkina Faso and Libya, which may affect the seven Northern states, if military force is used. There is serious implication for our country, if military force is used without exhausting all the diplomatic channels.

That is why the diplomatic option is still active. Once diplomacy fails, the coupists will be forced out and legitimate power returned. The Sultan of Sokoto and Gen Abdulsalami will advice the government. Diplomacy for the coupists to entrench themselves in power will not be allowed. Nigeria is not fighting war with Niger so the Senators are in order if it's a war.
And same Diplomacy can't be applied in se region
