A cursed 🏠 house. Lugard will never know peace in his grave.

If it's the will of God, from inception, both Hausa Igbo and the Yorubas might have been called Nigeria.

This lugard and his prostitute Flora without thinking of the consequences, they welded three parallel lines together and called it Nigeria in order to minimize the cost and maximize the colonial profits

Go back to your history. History has it that; that useless and good for nothing Lord Luggard signed and amalgamated Nigeria at Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and not Zungeru in Niger State, but be it as it may, wherever Lord Luggard is, he will know no peace, he will continue to rest in pieces because he was one of the contributors of what we are suffering in Nigeria.

This iconic structure could fetch the country some IGR in terms of tourism. It's now left deserted. We're truly the reflection of our leaders

Go to Obalende/Ikoyi and see the FG's former councils wasting, when it can be renovated and made a mall or space for offices at a subsidized rate, firms will troop to rent them out, but no, we keep borrowing money from people who keeps doing the right things. At the end, the borrowed money will be looted

I weep for this nation

Shame of a country what will cost politicians that loot trillions of nigeria's common wealth to fix this building and turn it to a tourist attraction?

That information and picture is patently false.

Symptomatic of how many things in the nation's history remain false, twisted and deliberately manipulated to serve narrow interests.

This is why the so called amalgamation has failed to yield tangible success one hundred and nine years after.

After more than a century, the country cannot refine it's own energy resources and imports tooth pick fish, pampers etc. Because we live in outright false hood and denial.

The amalgamation deed was signed at present day Ikot Abasi, somewhere in Akwa Ibom State.

You may want to find the pictures of the place,if necessary.

Below is the picture of where the error was enacted.

The late Prime Minister of Nigeria, Sir Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was reported in 1952 in a speech in the Northern House of Assembly, Kaduna, that `the Southern people who are swarming into this region daily in large numbers are really intruders.

We don`t want them and they are not welcome here in the North. Since the amalgamation in 1914, the British Government has been trying to make Nigeria into one country, but the Nigerian people are different in every way including religion, custom, language and aspiration. The fact that we`re all Africans might have misguided the British Government. We here in the North, take it that `Nigerian unity` is not for us`.

The amalgamation of Southern and Northern protectorates by the drunk and womanizer, Lord Lugard, was signed in Ikot Abasi, in the present day Akwa Ibom State, and NOT in Zungeru as falsely alleged by this article. Just as dilapidated as the house that created Nigeria, so is Nigeria. Nigeria is dead and useless as that building.

The usual excuse by people who are not profiting from the opportunities the almagamation have been providing since 1912 to those who are smart. Too many benefits, Nigeria is a great blessing but only those with positive mindset understand this based on their fulfilling experience as a Nigerian that have traveled wide and far.

Shut your stinking mouth. You maybe enjoying but is your community enjoying basic amenities. Does your village have constant electricity quality healthcare good security good roads quality public education these are basic things govt should provide and no region or state or local govt can boast of 40% of these after 63yrs. The almagamation should be dissolved so that the citizens can prosper

Eyah...but don't expect Nigeria to favour everybody. Some of us have a very different opinion from yours.

This your thought is the reason why Nigeria is where it is today. You're happy because you're comfortable, but refused to think of over 133m Nigerians that are multidimensionally poor. You're engaged, but you're not bothered about over 33% unemployment people. You're secured, but you're not thinking about millions of Nigerians in IDP, and those who are being killed on daily basis in the North. If your thought does not think about the majority who are suffering, then I'm afraid.

There is no poverty in Nigeria. Except people who are very ungrateful and never satisfied, who lack contentment.

Travel wide an far. That's when you will know that we are just spoilt brats because life is too easy in Nigeria.
