I can now conclude that most of the people who have commented on this post are ANTI-CHRIST. They do not have the knowledge of God, and because of that they said God doesn't exist. Because you dont have a knowledge about something, that doesnt mean it doesnt exist.

I pray that God forgives all who are in support of this TOPIC.

My advice to Seun, the owner of Nairaland, I would advice you delete this post, dont be happy because it is bringing traffic to your site. Do not allow them to use this site against God. God is not happy with all these insult people are casting on his name.

That is my advice,

Good bye.

The Lord GOD protects whom HE will in HIS perfection and mercy.  "As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him."- 2Sa_22:31

As far as sin / offenses go, no one will escape who has not been justified in,by and through the Lord JESUS CHRIST by HIS grace.  Where can one go in this universe to escape GOD HE is the perfect judge.

--------
"And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold" - Matt 24:12

"Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!" - Matt 18:7

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." - 2 Co 5:10

Aren't you a bundle of contradictions? The same west you accuse of spreading atheism introduced Christianity to you & you lapped it all up like the 'bush' dog that you are.You are so blinded in your rage you can't even see the wood for the trees.I feel for you & your ilk
Now let me hit you back with your stupidity.
The West introduced Christianity, but before then the African society believed in God. The Igbos called Him Igwe, Amadioha, Orisha, while the Yorubas called Him Oluwa, Sango. The only difference was the Africans had a total different way of worshipping Him, through idols, dieties. But atleast they BELIEVED. They, our forefathers even believed, and you, with all your brains and jet age have chosen not to. They are better than you by a million miles.
You atheist lot amaze me. How can a sane person at this age choose not to believe in God?? When science has failed you all radically(you claim to be genuises, but you haven't explained the concept of life, how and why you cannot give life to all your manufactured robots) and yet you come here yelping like wounded wild animals! Why don't you "construct" life and give yourselves a back-up when the present ones expire? @poster, you're singing about DNA, aren't you the genuis? Why can't you yourself explain something you proclaim to know? Confused bunch of dogs chasing their tails, I feel SORRY for all of you!

So just because some posters disagree with your religion, you want Seun to delete the thread? I wonder what you would think if they started censoring the anti-Juju, anti-islam or anti-Jehovah's witness threads.

Stop being a fanatic and learn to tolerate opposing views. You are just one small step away from being just like Boko Haram.

Religious goons always ask the reasons why Atheists are becoming more militant and aggressive in their stance these days. Why shouldn't we be?!

I consider myself not only an Atheist, but also an anti-theist. I do NOT only believe in the non-existence of a god anywhere, but I also believe that if ever I am proven to be wrong, and a god does exist somewhere, that god is definitely the most evil, sadistic, and capricious deity in all of living history. That god is solely responsible for the death of millions, the r-ape of millions, the mutilation of millions of geni-talia, the ignorance and retrogression of the the intellect of the human species. That god is definitely not good IMHO. There are times when I do wish such a god does exist, it's about time he faced some long, and hard questions!

In a lighter mode, let's not forget the place of satan in this whole thing. This guy right from the beginning, iniquity was found in him and he was making trouble in Heaven.  A time came, it got to an unbearable level that God commanded his Angels to teach him a lesson. As they went after him, he ran and made a high jump to Earth, and the Angels quickly shut the gate of heaven so that he won't even think of coming back. The Angels went to report to God on the mission accomplished, and God asked them, "Did you kill him"? the responded "No", He asked again "did you arrest him and put him in prison"? "No" was the response, and God shouted, what have you done with him! One said, " eem ehm we sent him to earth and locked the Gate. God exclaimed wayooo ala! kai wahala don dey for this people on earth. Ever since this guy came to join us here on earth uninvited, he has been at his best. This could explain why Nigerians are impoverished in the midst of abundance, why our leaders loot money whole-heartily with all their might and all their strength without fear or favour, it could also explain why boko haram would strike with their bomb and confidently call someone to say, oga na we do am, without been traced, even in this Jet age.

I think atheism or whatever is the worst form of foolishness and ignorance. Anyone who does not believe that there is a supernatural being (God), should also not believe in dreams, spirits, supernatural powers - and these are things we experience as human beings but can't also be proven scientifically.  No matter how intelligent we as human beings think we are, we know we are lesser and finite, limited beings living in a physical but lesser realms of an infinite space.

i have said it and would continue to repeat it that there is no hope for nigeria as long as they continue to rely on religion for answers to the problems they face in there day to day activities. The best religion can do is to comfort them and make them look the victim just like the assurance the smoker derives from his cigarets or the hapiness indulge by the drunkard. That the man made god imported from europe has consistently shown its inability to protect its own bigining from the isrealites, to the slave trade, civil war and recently the bomb blast in a catholic church has brought to fore the lies perpertuated by this tax masters as represented by oyedepo, adeboye, and oritsejafor. These men using fear and hope for reward has drain there gullible members of there hard earned resourceses to leave a kind of luxirious life that will make jesus to cry out in envy. It is for these reason they go about in there bullet proff cars and body guards. One would have taught that, as aclaimed representatives of there god on earth, the angels of there god will be readily available to offer them protection.

Always conveninient to select only a portion of a whole post and reply it if it suits your agenda, but what about proving to the whole of nairaland that dreams, which we all experience, does not exist or maybe it is just an illusion and means nothing and has no effect whatsoever on the physical life- all just because it can't be proven by a limited, generally inconclusive, and finite science?

@poster, I feel very sorry 4 u n am particularly sad because I allowed myself hav a perusal of such an atheistic write-up. Well, I do nt blame u 4 puttin up such a blasphemy, u did dat jst out of sheer ignorance. Buh wat I'd blame u 4 is d fact dat u claim 2 hav a knoledge wen in d actual state of tins, u knw notin. And it is particularly saddenin dat, even after some gud folks hav made concerted efforts 2 put u back 2 track, u hav chosen 2 remainadamantly ignorant! My sincere advice 4 u is dat u ask people of knowledge if u know not n I hope dat d followin piece wud serve as d guidance dat u need: The question of God's existence has preoccupied man's mind for man centuries. Those who believe in God seem to agree that the limited finite human intelligence cannot prove the existence of the infinite boundless God. It can only illustrate or demonstrate his existence to the satisfaction of the curious human mind. Those who deny God claim to rely on science, philosophy, or special theories of knowledge. Their arguments are sometimes inapplicable, sometimes irrelevant, always complex, and often incomprehensible. However, the developed mind will find its way to Allah. Failure to find the way does not mean that there is no way. Denial of reality does not make it unreal. As we look around in our environments, we see that every family has a head: every school has a principal, every city or town has a mayor; every province or state has a premier/governor; and every nation has a head of state. Moreover, we know beyond doubt that every beautiful art is the creation of some great artist. All this is obvious, yet it does not satisfy the hunger for knowledge and the curiosity of man about the great things in the world. One often wonders at the beauties of nature with its scenic charm and marvels; the almost endless horizons in the sky and their far- reaching expansions; the ceaseless succession of day and night in the most orderly manner; the course of the sun, the moon, and the great stars; the world of animate and inanimate objects, the continuous process and evolution of man, generation after generation. One often wonders because one would like to know the maker and maintainer of all these things with which we live and which we immensely enjoy. Can we find an explanation of the great universe? Is there any convincing interpretation of the secret of existence? We realise that no family can function properly without a responsible head, that no city can prosperously exist without sound administration, and that no state can survive without a chief of some kind. We also realise that nothing comes into being on its own. Moreover we observe that the universe exists and functions in the most orderly manner, and that it has survived for hundreds of thousands ofyears. Can we then, say that all this is accidental and haphazard? Or can we attribute the existence of man and the whole world to mere chance? If man were to come into being by accident or by sheer chance, his entire life would be based on chance, and his whole existence would be meaningless, and no rational being would leave his existence at the mercy of fluctuating chance. Every reasonable human being tries to make his life as meaningful as possible and set for himself a model of conduct according to some design. Individuals, groups and nations do plan their course of action. And every careful plan produces some desired effects. The fact of the matter is that man does engage in planning of one sort or another, and can appreciate the merits of good planning. Yet man represents only a very small portion of the great universe. And if he can make plans and appreciate the merits of planning, then his own existence and the survival of the universe must also be based on a planned policy. This means that there is a Designing Will behind our material existence, and that there is a Unique Mind in the world to bring things into being and keep them moving in order. The marvellous wonders of our world and the secrets of life are too great to be the product of random accident or mere chance. In the world, then there must be a Great Force in action to keep everything in order. In the beautiful nature there must be a Great Artist who creates the most charming pieces of art and produces everything for a special purpose in life. This Force is the strongest of all forces, and this Artist is the greatest of all artists. The true believers and deeply enlightened people recognise this Artist and call Him Allah ( His True and Real Name ) or God. They call Him God because He is the Creator and the Chief Architect of the world, the Originator of life and the Provider of all things in existence. He is not a man because no man can create or make another man. He is not an animal, nor is He a plant. He is neither an idol nor is He a statue of any kind because none of these things can make itself or create anything else. He is not a machine. He is neither the sun nor is He the moon or any other star, because these things are controlled by a great
system, and are themselves made by someone else. He is different from all these things, because He is the Maker and Keeper of them all. The maker of anything must be different from and greater than the thing which he makes. We also know that nothing can come to life on its own, and that the marvellous world did not create itself or come into existence by accident, 2 BE CONTINUED in d next post ,

, CONTINUATION, The continuous  changes in the world prove that it is made and  everything which is made must have a maker of some sort. The Maker and  Sustainer of the world, the Creator of and Provider for man, the Active Force and Effective Power in nature are all one and the same, and that is known to be Allah or God. This is the secret of all secrets and the Most Supreme of all beings. The Holy Qu'ran, the True Book of God say's: "Belief in God and His great power alone can provide mankind with the best Possible explanation of many mysterious things in life. This is the safest way to true knowledge and spiritual insight, the right path to good behaviour and sound morals, the surest guide to happiness and prosperity. Once man believes that God exists he must know His attributes and names Generally speaking every perfection and absolute goodness belong 2 Him, n no defect or wrong applies 2 Him.

A simple challenge to all those who say that God does not exist.

The following is the brief biography of a Nigerian who truly believes in God.

If you have a better CV than him, post it here or simply go back to school and improve your knowledge and discover the TRUTH THAT WILL SET YOU FREE ONE DAY OR YOU WILL PERISH IN YOUR IGNORANCE.

When Dr. Kolawole Daniel Olukoya was born some forty five years ago, little did his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Olukoya, know that they had taken delivery of an exceptional child ordained by God to fulfill a destiny that would in turn, positively affect the destiny of others.

And in pursuit of that destiny, Dr. Olukoya laid down an academic blueprint whose pedigree remains outstanding. At Saint John's CAC Primary School, Akure in Ondo State, and Saint Jude's primary School, Ebute Metta, Lagos where he completed his primary education, excellence was his watch word. Rather than occupy himself with exuberance that was a common feature among the, youths, he developed a passion for God.

Dr. Daniel Olukoya's academic profile took a leap while at Methodist Boys' High School, Lagos , where he graduated with Grade One Distinction and was the best student in his set.

Not one known to rest on his oars, he took his academic exploits to the prestigious University of Lagos and, as would be expected, the genius in him proved that all earlier outstanding academic results were no fluke, as he graduated with a first class honours degree. In fact it was the first from the department since the university was established in 1962.

Dr. Olukoya's thirst for more academic laurels found expression at the University of Reading, UK, where, with a Commonwealth scholarship, he studied for a PhD in Molecular Genetics, which was completed in record time, making him probably the first Nigerian to obtain a Ph.D. in this subject area.

With such an intimidating academic resume! it was only natural that opportunities would beckon. But not even the pressure. to stay back in England could sway him from returning to Nigeria .

His first port of call on arrival was the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Yaba. He was a lecturer as well as external examiner to a number of Nigerian universities, among them the University of Lagos , UNILAG and university of Benin, UNIBEN.

Dr. olukoya is on record as having been the first scientist to establish an indigenous Molecular Biology and Biotechnology laboratory in Nigeria. One important contribution by Dr. Olukoya to biotechnology and health care delivery is the creation of a new type of Pap (Ogi), named Dogik, a weaning food that has improved nutritional qualities that can control diarrhoea.

The laboratory also ranks among the first to done genes in Nigeria. Dr. Olukoya has supervised over 20 Ph.D. students, most of whom are doing well in their chosen fields. As a researcher, he has over 80 scientific publications to his credit.

Notwithstanding his exploits on the academic turf, he devotes much of his time to God through preaching, delivering papers at seminars, singing etc. That Dr. Olukoya would become a mighty tool in the hands of God to serve as a vehicle of deliverance for his generation manifested in 1989, when Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries was given birth to in his sitting room at Yaba, with 24 worshippers.

And like the story of the acorn seed that metamorphosed into the great oak tree with several branches providing nests to all birds of varied proportions, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, with only 18 years presence, has exponentially own to be found in several parts of the world, even as 2007 has been expressly declared by the General Overseer as the year for evangelism.

MFM has thousands of branches spread across Nigeria , Africa and Asia . A huge percentage of branches are also located in the United States and Europe . The Ministry is noted for its unique, powerful prayers that are fast redefining the major strategic input that puts the devil and his cohorts in the most bemused of confusion.

MFM headquarters is the largest single congregation in Africa , with attendance of over 120,000 in single meetings. It is a ministry devoted to the revival of apostolic signs. Holy Ghost fire, miracles and the unlimited demonstration of the power of God word to deliver to the utmost. Absolute holiness is preached within and outside as spiritual prerequisite for heaven.

Dr. Kolawole Daniel Olukoya is anointed by God with an uncommon gift and finds expression as a prophet, evangelist, teacher and preacher of the word of God. In addition to his over 80 scientific publications, he has written more than double that number of spiritual books, 150 of them, most of which are bestsellers. PRAYER RAIN, a prayer manual which has become a companion of not a few Christians across several denominations, has sold millions of copies. Besides, Dr. Olukoya has 70 Christian songs that he has composed. His amiable life and that of his wife, Pastor Shade and their son, Elijah Toluwani, are living proof that all power belongs to God.

The difference between us white and you black is that we dont mix religion and politics.

Mr "white" man, it is clear God created man and equiped him with the tools and intelligence to have dominion over the EARTH and every thing in it, and while some are making good use of these tools, others on the other hand, are misusing them. But that is what makes the world go round init? Imagine a world where everyone is as wise as each other with equal capabilities, boring and all that,
Actually, we humans pray to God to supplement our inadequacies since we accept we are limited beings, and for those of us who have encountered God in his power and might will testify that he has actually come to our aid when we needed him, therefore we know he exists because we belived and he confirmed his existence to us. But as you infered from your post, it is true that some people don't know their boundaries so as to know when to use their already God given resources and when to solicit for supernatural help from God. Also, atheists don't know the boundaries between science and the creator of all scciences.
