donsheddy1: Let me make this clear to every one of us here. Siony as you know him is a web designer by chance; i mean those guys who get to learn things out of basic experience. Just This week i gave him money (#2000) to buy a domain name (http://faithrenewalministry.org) for me as i was traveling to ibadan and could not lay my hands on a computer to make my transaction/payment online. He assured me that every thing will be ready by 1:00 pm that same day. Since then i have been calling him for the payment details and my domain name and he was just saying all lots of rubbish not until i came back and went to buy my domain myself with my own cash - Do you know that this young man has refused to pick up my call Just to make a refund of two thousand naira. Now those websites where not blocked due to him not paying his bills but for using his host as another means of fulfilling his other mischievous acts. He keeps installing mailers for his yahoo clients on the host causing the hosting company to ban him due to not following the TOC of the company. He has done a lot but let me not say much until i see him - though his house is not far from mine and i know where to get him. I know he'll be reading this So siony you're in a big mess. Donsheddy1) Where re you oh...The thief that is Siony Andrew Dominic John has finally come out to redeem his image. I didnt know NAIRALAND meant so much to him. He has come to defend himself, because he won't be able to steal from hardworking Nigerians outchea...hahah he even took pains to prepare free webpage. God done catch you today Andrew. **Errrm. .clears throat** @Wemaster, Everything you wrote in that blog STOPPED making sense the moment you chipped this in. . . While i was 90% through with the site. a friend of mine came to pay me a visit from epe, told me he is traveling to delta state and want to take a bus from mile 2, badagry expressway. and spent the night in my place. the next morning before my notice. he stole my bag containing my laptop, documents, internet connection, and other valuables, my phone, and 35k . before i noticed that my bag is missing it was already 9pm when i wanted to make use of it. i quickly ran to the mile 2 garage if maybe i can see him. but i didn't and asked. i was told two bus already left this morning. i was confused and start making calls in a business centre to nearby friends telling them of what happen. the next day i traveled down to delta state. to the place he told me he was going. but i didn't meet him there. i spent 2weeks looking for him all through. while in delta state. Having said that and without acting judge in this case, my question to you both is "What is the way forward"? |

@Poster, if God knows I judged after waiting patiently to hear both sides of the story and don't know either of you from adam,surely God will purnish and humiliate you. Where you blind when I mentioned he stories are fishy and that he should refund the money to you? The place I faulted your actions is that you never mentioned he sent previous works he had done for you (1st and 2nd) demos. To your stating white woment in the picture of the website, I think it was only normal to use a neutral picture as a demo pending when you give the designer the original pictures you want. You are an imbe*cile you know? Did you presume or assume I will come here to take sides based on you only side of the story? Hell No! I am not the average Nigerian who takes side based on ethnic, religious, relative sentiments. I pass judgement after I have heard both sides of a story irrespective of even if it is my own blood that is at fault. I will come out and say it. Read through again and this time with your brains and not your a5s. I judged as someone who has the fear of God. By the way, you totally downgraded me saying he is my friend. My Final Verdict: Wemaster : 1) Come out to defend the alegations by the poster that YOU NEVER showed her any demo site (because based on that line alone did I find her at fault). 2) REFUND THE ENTIRE N25,000 without removing a dime from it within the next 48hours 3) Come here and post at least 10 of your websites you have designed and currently functioning on a paid hosting package and NOT A FREE PLATFORM. 4)Mention at least 2 nairalanders you have done website for and give the links to their website as well. 5) Come out and give reasons why you deleted the poster from your facebook page (if this alegation is true then it is obvious you intentionally wanted to avoid her) 6) If within the next 48hours you don't defend and ammend the above listed items then; @Poster, go ahead and send his details (including pictures to the media) as it is obvious only then that he intentional wanted to dupe you. WEMASTER, proceed and answer question 1 - 6 above before any other thing. You are taking this whole thing as a child's play which is absolutely not one of those beer parlour jokes. Don't refer us to any crappy blog again. Answer all questions and alleged accusations in here. Afterall nairaland was the platform were you both met before going into any business relationship and the Poster came to this same nairaland to lay her coplaints. WEMASTER, You were "too" fast to come up with a complete blog to defend yourself claiming a friend drew your attention to nairaland. Even if you have chased another friend of yours that stole your belonging to maiduguri, that same friend would have informed you your attention is needed again on nairaland. Continuos silence only proves you will be found guilty in the shortest possible time (before the end of today). Your type will only block way for other sincere and hardworking webdesigners and other professionals. You are prone to mistakes and only after you have admitted your fault can forgiveness be given. If you had financial constraints and used her money to sort them out, it is better you come out and admit it now rather than giving yourself an International disgrace. Think of your wife, children, clients (if you have any), neighbors, siblings, parents e.t.c. N25,000 (or any amount) is just too small to get a public disgrace for. And don't forget Nigeria law doesn't favour petty crimes like this. You could get 10years for stealing ordinary N25,000. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I told ANDREW SIONY JOHN DOMINIC to send me my password for my domain name to go and start afresh with another developer. he refused. Tell me isn't that wickedness in high places ? You cannot do the job. Give me my domain name UUnista back for me to go and give a well meaning website developer. After all the help I got from your suggestions right here. He bluntly refused to pick my calls and deleted me from Facebook. It is too late dude. You have this week to refund my money. Luckily you already know me and my capacity to finish you. The funny thing is that peeps have been begging on your behalf. Which is vexing me right now. Since I would have picked you up. If they do, then copy and send this link to them how even total strangers intervened in the matter. Why are people so myopic in thinking? How long do you want to spend N25,000? You can run for a while but not forever. Assuming you feel you have duped someone and then some years later have an accident and was rushed to a hospital owned by that person you duped spouse and you met after years, do you think they will allow treatment commence on you without full payment after you had pleaded you don't have money or that person owns the school your child attends, or in charge of a parastatal you want to collect contract from? Can Wemaster hand over her domain registration details to her and pay her money minus the amount for the domain registration? If he has to deduct the 1 month he already paid for the one month hosting, maybe we can allow that leeway(Just make something move on at least.) I just feel that young man got into some financial issues and miscalculated thinking he could pay for one month for his clients, and use the money to sort out his financial problems(hoping to get some other businesses before the time for the next web hosting payment). But of course, things hardly work out the way you plan it. This is what I believe and strongly too. Its not a coincidence that other sites he claimed to design are all either suspended or just unreachable. |

Also saw where you talked about photography and how you are using a southafrican photographer. You didnt mince words in saying that everything must be top notch. And on the other hand, I look at amount you offered him to get the job done and am baffled. Forgive me o , but this is the part where I think I always irritate some people on Nairaland. Most times, I dont know who to slate for this. The pictures were from a South African fashion photographer friend of mine. ALL FREE! I wanted to clean pictures, for Andrew to use so it could have the look of the already existing websites you mentioned. I wanted the website to be in the style of a full content gilt, vogue, Elle but created on a blogosphere like wordpress or maybe a Joomla website to cut costs. And my dear 25grand wasn't for the full website. This was the first initial payment to take care of domain registration , cloud server hosting. He was supposed to get a third party ecommerce company hosted like eyowo for me to use for now. HE TOLD ME TO PAY 25grand into his account to commence the relevant registration my domain, hosting. So now he is trying to get sympathy from all of you by saying I was paying only 25,000 for everything. I am so baffled that this guy can LIE like this. A father and husband Even if he wants sympathy from all of you. Why doesnt he just return my money Why did he stop picking my calls? Or block me on Facebook? Since when did 25k become to small to register domain and host a website? Last time I checked even in Nigeria. It is N1,700 to register a domain? I only thank God I didnt make full payment. Tell him to come and refund my money. Also to give me back my domain name. If he so wishes to keep that . Good luck to him. Thanks guys. And like I said every transaction between us is in print. What da heck were you doing there for 2weeks You should know you have a client, that has made a payment with a pending project. You should find all means to contact the client! Let's say u had no phone and your bag, money and everything was stolen, u still had money to travel to delta(hotel, i guess), u paid for all, food...etc! Couldn't u have gone to a cyber cafe(1hr is okay) and mail all you pending clients?! Bro, u have a blame here.So, now have u been able to collect your laptop? Tell me you ddnt know the kind of friend you had in the first place befor allowing him to come and sleep in ur house(keeping all those stuffs closely to him), u are not being security cautious! And as for you @op, did you try all the websites in his portfolio? All closed? Maybe you should have contacted one of the owners who may probably know him or his location more that you do. I really understand its not easy to work for your money and u actually came out in pains to post this...but you should have slowed it down a bit. Now, slow down a bit, don't take any action yet. He may have a plan. Let's assume his difficulties(stolen properties etc) are true, give him sometime(1week tops) and let him recover and contact you in one way or the other. It going to keep getting difficult giving judgement on this issue as we keep hearing only one side defending while the other party has gone totally mute. In a real court scenerio, the case would long have been struk out with the defending party found innocent and the silent one found guilty. Wemaster sure has things so say but is probably filled with embarassment to come and say his own side of the story. Going back a bit, the Poster made mentioned of the "white people's pictures" saying how dare him use white pictures, who ae they and the rest. But along the line, owning that her photographer sent the pictures down or so ( didn't read clearly on that so won't comment further or pass blames). Like a strongly believe, there are always two sides to a story, but as far as the accused keep running away, he is perceived to be guilty here. If Wemaster knows his intentions are clear and didn't trying duping the lady, then he should come out not to defend himself this time, but let the poster know when he will send her money to her and how much, and if he isn't willing to drop. Penny maybe due to the work time and stress he has already done on the site then let him come out and let us know, who knows we might just listen to both sides and come to the conclusion that only the domain and password needs to be given to the poster and they both end their business relationship amicably. So far so good, as we have only heard the poster's side of the story, wemaster up till this moment is assumed to be at faulty and should return her money in full within the shortest possible time. I won't blame her at this moment if she goes ahead and disgrace him in the media. I have pleaded with him and even made him to see the disadvantage of being adamant on his silence but pride has eaten the better part of him. Wemaster, once your story goes fully online, Note that your side of the story will No Longer be relevant. Rumors (bad news) spread faster and wider than the good ones. Poster go ahead with your decision, maybe then he will know the disadvantage of being unecessarilly proud in admitting faults next time. |

By your agreement, the money paid you should cover domain registration and hosting for at least a year so what are you talking about?
