In one breath, you agree with me that continuing with this project isnt an option and in another reply to Odunnu, you insinuate that you are not ready to refund because you feel you were maligned. You cant hold on to her domain as well as her money while brooding over the fact that you cant continue with the work. You are complicating issues.

@poster, you need to understand something very clear that i asked you to make payment for the service does mean am hungry..OK. i just want to get the job done to get more clients from you. and that's what i move into doing before this. the only thing here is that you didn't have a Lil patient.
i told you am only building my portfolio, that's why i am taking the job. a shopping site with a magazine feature is from 300k to 1m. but i even invested my own money and time to make sure i get a professional job done with a fucking cheap price.

anyway. am off for now. i need to have my head rest a while.

For those of you who think I planned on giving Siony only 25,000 for his work. This is a proposal we agreed on. Before God and Man( in local parlance) . Tell me where I went wrong Just access this proposal and tell me, if I planned to use him? I won't comment again after this. From here, the only way forward to to take action. And fight for this crime of taking what doesn't belong to you and being cocky in spite of the glaring signs that you openly wanted to RIP ME OFF

Does Nairaland have a Private message feature?

I have been following this thread for a long time but havent made any comment yet because i wanted to hear fully from both sides, and it seems there was no issue of scamming here, it was just a little misunderstanding.
@wemaster i find you at fault for deleting her from ur facebook friends and not picking her calls because i'm sure that was what instigated her anger....and i'm also sure you did it out of anger/depression(if the story of stolen property is true). You also share some blame because i myself wont be happy to hear that my site is down whatever the reason may be...You were paid and its your Job so you are fully responsible...
@varies1 i think you were controlled by anger and motivated by a third party which is likely why you took things this far...after buying a domain, and giving you upto 90% of your site and hosting it....you should have given him time.
@wemaster i advice you give her the domain and refund her money to prove your dignity and clear you conscience.
@varies1 when he has done this you should render appologies to him in this site to clear his name since it was just a mere misunderstanding
I REST MY CASE!!!

Dear, i will give you a feedback concerning refunds later in this same thread because right now m in a very bad mood. since you are asking for a refund, stop talking about domain name. ok and ask that person who is the BEST WEBSITE DESIGNER AND PEOPLE REP SPOILER to return back the domain account to my lovingdomain account back or my own actions will be more than making posts.

not so fast pls!

I did a tracert/whois lookup and theres no evidence to show the hosting is at w4a.

That aside, how did a 3rd party manage to access your domain control panel and move her domain?

In other words, www.uunista.com is no longer under your control?

I'll mail you shortly. Hope you'll give me the password to your lovingdomains account to verify?

Thanks

I tire oo. The stories are soo inconsistent, it gives one a headache. He says the server had a problem and was down, the he admitted he hadnt paid for hosting, then he assured that he has finally paid for the hostimng and it would come up in 24 hrs, then he turns around to say someone else is with the domain name in question. What in the world is all this?

@Wemaster, answer yamakuza, how can a third-party get access to a domain you control to move it away without your knowledge? Even if Varies1 does not know how hosting and stuff like this works, have you forgotten you are posting on a forum with people who understand how stuff works?

Did you just say I got 90% of my work? Are you a webmaster ?? Did you look at those free templates thoroughly?? Please go back and have a really good look and tell me if that trash wasn't a copied free template

@vanely1 but atleast there was progress which means he was not scamming you, if he was, he wouldnt have taking pains to even start the design talk more of repeating it when you rejected the first design...like i said he is at fault but you are over-reacting..A little patience would have done you two good

So why didn't you state your fees as 300,000 to 1million in your proposal? Is it that free template you posted on that free blog that is 300k? Or is there another custom website you haven't shown us yet. That you designed for 300thousand naira. Since you aren't HUNGRY. Why is it taking you forever to refund a paltry 25k Your laptop was stolen, yet you were able to retrieve the fake job of 90% that you did for me. So where did you store this information? Or your friend returned your stolen laptop for you source out information for that free blog you just created. My dear when it comes to lying, you aren't even good at it. See the loopholes, in your story. Continue this way #Godiswatchingyou... You cannot go unpunished.

Wemaster,

If you hadn't gone silent (into hiding) all this while, I believe this whole issue wouldn't have escalated to this extent.

Sleep over it bro and please conclude to refund her money for PEACE TO REIGN. You might have had good intentions but you didn't go about it the right way one bit.

The issue isn't Nduka told her this or that, if you had communicated with her for those 2 weeks you went underground and hadn't deleted her from your facebook, whatever Nduka told her wasn't going to be relevant or of interest to her because she would have still seen you as the Honest fellow she initially thought you were.

We all need to start putting professionalism in whatever career path we take. Irrespective of if we have an office, dress corporate, operate from Victoria Island or Ikoyi. Whatever we do let's be professional. It appeared the whole contract here was carried out from lack of professionalism.

It appeared you were desperate to get the job done, and even went for as low as 3k (so surprising) for a website.

Wemaster please get a book by Krock - 80/20 principul and digest those words well. You really need to start reading to work on your managerial skills. The smallest of deals bring the biggest of Problems. FACT!

I hope and pray you both get to a compromise and resolve this whole issue.

I am glad I actually heard (to an extent) from both parties.

I say the same things all the time. Nicely put. Though the 3k is for a different website and has nothing to do with this one in question but message applies.

The same amount of time spent in chasing a 10k job is the same you spend chasing a 300k job.

Something that is yet to be resolved, people are already out to enter into another contract with a client that feels cheated right now.

Wemaster,
I am willing to give you free business consulting and a few web projects to handle (since you made it clear you want to build your business portfolio) on one condition and one condition only; Refund the @poster's N25,000 in full to her.

At this stage I will let you know what you need to develop if more of you Managerial skills rather than technical know how.

Do you use Php and Mysql, CSS, Flash Media (to build fully flash site) and other tools which will be discussed only after I see you make peace with the poster.

In as much as your friend Nduka might not be a good friend, you aren't a good person yourself.

If you had come out sincere and explained issues to the poster things wouldn't have generated to this extent.

To make matters worse, you just keep contradicting and complicating yourself with each post. Everyone have all said the same thing which is "Pay the poster her money back" or "deduct the one month hosting fee from the N25,000 and then pay her the difference as well as send her username and password to her". But yet it is one story after another insisting on how we don't "get the catch".

We all can't be so silly or biased that we haven't still "gotten your catch" now.

If I put up your mistakes again it will be like I am placing the bulk of the blame on you but truth be told, you can't succeed in business with this kind of attitude. You need to be more sincere (as in seriously sincere from start to finish), less desperate, less greedy, extremely truthful and communicative.

You are running this business like a means of immediate survival rather than as a professional.

Leave your friend out of the picture now and ammend your ways.

So Mr Andrew Slony John when are you refunding her money to her?

If you talk like this to a "one time client" on a public forum, how do you expect to get empathy from future prospects and clients from this same forum with this kind of attitude.

Oga, your managerial skill is zero and the earlier you start working on it the better.

This isn't a forum where meat and pepper are being sold online. You are meant to be a website professional to help put people's businesses online.

If you threaten to kill all your clients because you are agree, who go gree get mind to patronize you.

bro.. believe me am very very upset now.. very angry now but not for my clients. but for that ''THIRD PARTY'' who don't have job rather than spoiling people's rep. secondly about the forum things. am not limited to NL..OK my work speaks for me and bring me clients. i don't think there's a firm that don't have bug/issues to fix. there are many ways i can make my doh, if no one contact me for site. i will build websites and sell. create a forum and give support to youth and upcoming designers. i will create a site that will pull me cash. several things i can do without this ''THIRD PARTY''. for everybody who knows this THIRD PARTY, please inform him to return back the domain account uunista.com back to my account ooo.. because from what am seeing here, this client don't know about the transfer. i tried his line but he's not picking my calls. madam varies1 call your BEST WEBSITE DESIGNER to return back that domain account or what i will do is not making posts ooo..

This is unbelievable. You are still on this endless rigmarole. Every new post is an indictment on you. Every story is different from the other. Sorry , but you sound so unstable. Are you alright? No really

1. You never replied my email. Dont bother again.

2. Why not call/sms her and ask for her bank details?
