Presently I'm in computer village IKEJA. 3G is always like gsm. I don't always browse when I'm in the office. But the worst of it all is ibadan. When I'm in ibadan I stay at apete. My ibadan office is at poly road sango. The network is too poor at the office. There's a glo office very close to me. I've been there several times to complain. They'll tell me it's general problem. For months no solution. The only time i browse very well in apete is midnight. Sometimes I'll have to put my phone on the window.
MY house na upstairs ooooo. And i stay up. So I'm surprised that I stay up and put my phone on the window. Yet, it browses at snail speed. I bought spectranet last week. But man can not live on WiFi alone na.

Come to kano.....i hv to pass through a place called kweri market while coming back from work just for one purpose, ...to browse there..... in my house I can't even do anything online until the next day....porting confirmed....my black ass is so tired wt ds dudes....

Please please! stay with Etisalat! Glo Internet service is cheap but crap, at least for the past 3 weeks, it's been really bad, and then when you call their customer care center, they keep telling you nothing is wrong with the network.

Please, create another thread. Glo is far better than MTN in all justification. We comparing glo and Etisalat.

One thing about eti is, in most areas, once they hit on it they give the best network. But eti only picks major cities. Check with people from osun rural like okuku, ekiti rurals, Abuja rural areas like abaji, and a embed other places.

People barely notice that, for at places like that, they barely have to worry over browsing, rather calling network itself.

But glo is still trying to create a balance. Kudos to them, there's room for improvement though

Is it not better to pick certain locations and make ur service work in those locations than try to spread ur service everywhere and then end up not satisfying everyone? Etisalat network is not available everywhere accepted, but the places they have their service at least 90% of users are satisfied. Glo has more coverage and like 70% of users are dissatisfied. I think etisalat are wiser, they gradually spread their service making sure their service are superb in places they have captured. There's no point spreading ur service to places where u know subscribers will curse u because of poor service. Glo on the other hand are behaving like typical Nigerians.. Trying to get more service area and end up with poor overall service.

Since I started using GLO i stopped watching YOU TUBE even though I have an over abundance of MB. It is so erratic and unreliable that you will have to wait forever.

Glo data service used to be so good, so fast, so wonderful.

I noticed the service started experiencing some serious downturn the moment so many people started using the Glo BIS on their Android.

I want to use this opportunity to beg Glo to STOP people from using Glo BIS on their android.

Their internet hardly connects, and when it does most of the tines it is slow. When it eventually gets fast it will let u browse for a few minutes and then disconnects u. U can't stream with ease with this piece of junk. When u finally think u are streaming, next minute it disconnects u and sometimes u have to restart ur phone for the data to restore only for it to disappear again after a couple of minutes.

I have a friend who was complaining about MTN data speed and price. He told me he wanted to port to glo, I warned him he was jumping from fry on to fire, he didn't listen. He eventually ported (reason for porting was mainly because of internet). This guy almost cried when he found out he needed to fast and pray before his glo line can browse. He eventually got fed up after just 5 days and went to port the same line again to etisalat, now he's enjoying his internet.

Let me guess, 80% of posters here are also writing on behalf of Eti? Look the truth cannot be hidden, etisalat is not even my primary network which is MTN. Etisalat is on my secondary phone but no denying their internet is more stable, just a little above MTN which is equally good. Glo on the other hand is terrible.

There is no perfect network, but at least 80% of etisalat users are satisfied with their internet while at least 70% of glo users are complaining... That should tell u something is wrong.

So, we plenty for this glo data issue i think say na only me waka com ni. Network go just travel comot from my fone for like 5hrs, to check data balance nko?

But, I have recently realized that Glo has actually been cheating me by making it appear their service is cheap. Actually, when I consider the value I get from Glo, it's actually far more costly than using Etisalat: Imagine that you'd buy a Glo data but for it to connect is a big problem. At other times, it will connect and everything shows it's connected but you can't open a single web page. Some other time, it would let you browse but with very annoying limitations regarding many sites. At other times, it's at a snail speed. These are sites that, once you change to Etisalat, it opens with one touch.

The most annoying part of it is that while all these are happening, Glo keeps spamming you with endless SMSes talking about "SUPER FAST" internet service (all in capital letters). Then, you call their customer care, they keep you waiting for ages. Then, you go to their office, you meet with very rude treatment not expected of customer service anywhere.

From my overall experience with Glo, I can say the only advantage they have is price. But I have realized even that price is deception. I believe the NCC should look into Glo Data service. But, I want first to make sure there is a sizable number of you people who have a similar experience with me. To know Glo is the only indigenous brand of all the service providers in the country and yet, patriotism is not letting them make Nigerians happier with them than with the rest is nothing to write home about. However, as I already said, this is my own experience so far. Let me hear from you guys. I don't think any service provider should be allowed to rip Nigerians off under any guise.

I have the same experience with Glo. Very slow internet connection and very annoying. I wonder why, with all their submarine cable advert their browsing network is rubbish. I browse with Airtel and it's very fast and reliable. I know Etisalat is also fast because I browse with it also. So I wonder why GLO keeps making noises about their fibre optics as if it gives them an advantage

How did he do it? When you port to one line, it takes a minimum of 90 days before you're allowed to port to any other line.

You are right. I'm on my way to IB right now. I hope there's improvement oooo. Because it has been bad for months. There was a time I used to watch live matches online. I hope i can start doing that again. Sango/apete should be looked into please. I'll surely appreciate that.

I have been using Glo service since. I got speedbof 2mb per sec with Glo while on Netflix and others movies site.
Take note if u used glosecure u will HV a curl speed like snail, while gloflat give u a speed like LTE I'm not exaggerating.
Secondly locations matter but I will advice u to used others network for backup. Becos u can not trust these internet providers.

I stopped using Glo a long time ago,i have had situations where i wasn't having service for days,and when you call the customer care all they say IS SORRY WE ARE CURRENTLY CARRYING OUT SYSTEM UPGARADE AND AS A RESULT OF THIS WE ARE UNABLE TO RUN DAIGNOSIS ON YOUR LINE.

In Asaba where I live, glo data is worst. Any time I remember my experience with glo, I feel like crying.
