I ignored the price peg because your suggestion didn't make sense. How can you compare blogging to telcomms? Seriously?

So what's the difference between the price peg and all what you have been saying right from first page

Aint there users in telcoms and blogging, aint there market share in telcoms and blogging, aint there losses and shutting down in telcom and blogging.

The reason I brought in blogging to this is that that guy made this service quality more than professionals in his niche, he fought for the survival of his blog. Those small companies should fight for their lives too and stop being "dada that's depending on his younger brother to fight for him"

GLO WILL STILL GIVE US A VERY FAIR DATA PRICE, ONLY HI-TECH THIEVES LIKE MTN, AIRTEL WILL QUICKLY OBLIGE AND AUTOMATICALLY CHARGE NEW RATES FROM 30TH, OF NOVEMBER. If you want to subscribe, you better do it today, waiting for 31st is a disaster because i know it will be more than the new rates again JUST LIKE WHAT DSTV DID. VERY SOON, YOU WILL SEE THEY WILL MAKE HUGE MONEY FROM IT AGAIN LIKE ........ they will say "if you want government to stop the extra charge" TEXT 5050 to 3322 for 50 naira and many mumu will follow send.
Besides, government is borrowing trillions outside, tasking us dry within. Do these people want to let amadioha bury their children alive?

Baba I tried subscribing this morning with MTN, It didn't go through. They tryna delay till Dec 1 but God pass them

They survived before the floor price was removed, they'll survive now that it has been reintroduced.

In otherwords, the masses don't deserve any improvement over their suffocating cost of living ?

We should go back to the days of per minute billing and buying sim cards for as high as N20,000 since the masses survived then with such exorbitant cost.

What manner of man reasons like you ? shocked

However, we further gathered that the Federal Government took the decision having discovered that data rates are very low-priced in Nigeria, compared to other countries, including nearby African countries.
so that means the federal Government wants everything to be high priced in this country. It now criminal and abnormal for things including data to be low-priced in Nigeria.

Great, but it was not stated that, any operator complained to NCC.

If you see where that is stated, please show me. You see to be inferring that since NCC is set to protect the small players, they must have complained.

When NCC removed the seal , last October, they clearly stated that it was experimental

AZeD1:

http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/business/why-ncc-directed-big-telcos-to-increase-data-tariffs/173743.html

From the article the OP posted

"However, in a letter by the NCC to the operators sighted by our correspondent, the commission stated, “This rate will subsist pending the finalisation of the study on the determination of cost-based pricing for retail broadband and data services in Nigeria.

“In order to provide a level playing field for all operators in the industry, small operators and new entrants to acquire market share and operate profitably, small operators and new entrants are hereby exempted from the price floor for data services.”

It added, “For the avoidance of doubt a small operator is one that has less than 7.5 per cent market share and a new entrant is an operator that has operated less than three years in the market

Nigeria is taking a lead in something for the first time. This 21st century Reccession is without doubt the Product of IT. IT has already replaced human labour and skill by more than 60%. It's a matter of a short while before the remaining 40% is completely overtaken. May be Britain and the US have known this, but by their CAPITALIST SYSTEM would allow it to thrive to maintain their essential economic dominance. NCC is presently talking about mtn, etisalat, airtel, mtel etc, Our FG should decree at least 20% Sales Tax on all Samsung, Nokia, Toshiba, Microsoft, Sony etc electronic products manufactured and/or sold in Nigeria. Remaining Zurkerberg, Intalgram, Twitter etc, don't worry. Very soon our IT CAT will catch up with them. We want our CAT(cost added tax) to replace PIT(personal income tax) since IT is very bold to replace human labour. Let Buhari raise money from IT instead of begging to borrow or relying on oil money. Afterall, Market women, Barbers, Professors etc, all use smart cell phones and all shall be proud tax payers to Nigerian economy. The Government would never again dare to loot or waste a kobo of this tax payer's money.. From--afgg.
