Him tell you say na only tithe em come talk about? He wants to free the sheeple and that would include any and everything he sees as being preached wrong, from tithe to speaking in tongues and many more.

Because of him a few persons are beginning to read their bibles and that's a good thing.

There is difference between speaking and praying in tongues. Acts 2 is about speaking in tongues. Rom 8:26 praying in tongues. I believed genuine tongues still exist even though some are faking it. Am a catholic and Charismatic , until the day i experience praying in tongues through the unction of the Holy spirit.

if anybody can just interpret tongues, then why is it a gift from the holyspirit........Praying in tongues is your personal prayer language with God.........It is like an encrypted prayer that even the Devil dosent understand because you pray directly to God from your spirit.
Freeze keeps talking about the things he doesn't even understand and I pity the people that follows him.
That is how you will not follow what the bible says and you will be repeating the blunder other pastors tell you. Is that the reason why God gave the gift of speaking in tongues? If the devil understands what you are saying to your God so what? Does that make God powerless to answer you prayer? Did you read what the bible says about speaking in tongues and interpretation? Can you show me where the bible spoke about speaking in tongues being an encrypted language the devil cannot decipher? The first time people spoke in tongues, did other strangers not find it amazing that Jews that have never been to their nations could speak their language? But today people chant meaningless stuff and claim it is an encrypted language. Na wa o! God help us.

Can you quote scripturally where you base off this your answers on. Thanks

Okay! This is the bible, I didnt write it, read for yourself

1 Corinthians 14: 2. For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 3. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

You see where all this came from? It had nothing to do with tongues really but prophecy. If I speak in unknown tongues, no man understands me, its just God who does. But if I prophesy, I do it to be a blessing to the listeners, not to show off, or to let people know that I am too spiritual, as it seemed to be the case in the church in Corinthians.

Paul even went further to ask a question in verse 6

1 Corinthians 14: 6. Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

In other words, If I prophesy in tongues to you, who the tongues epp?

Read further....

1 Corinthians 14: 9. So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. 10. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 11. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.

If I dont say something in a language you understand, tell me how you will hear? He said there are many kinds of voices/sounds but none without importance - which baffles me why freeze will call a man's attempt to commune with his own maker Spiritually, fake, since when did freeze have the gift of interpretation of tongues (as seen in 1 Corinthians 12:10) to decide which is fake or not?

He said in verse 11, if I dont know the meaning of what a man say, he just sounds like a barbarian. What freeze quoted is what Apostle paul advocated as the solution to prophetic utterance in other tongues to the congregation.........

1 Corinthians 14: 27. If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29. Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30. If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31. For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. -

Thats all!!

I love what paul said earlier on verse 20. And I say this to Daddy Freeze and his followers.......

1 Corinthians 14: 20. Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye children, but in understanding be men.

If you study about the Corinthian church in the bible on the internet, you find out that was quite disorganised and immature in their dealings and that is why paul wrote this book.

Study the bible and no Freezer, whether deep freezer or bedroom unit can confuse you...... wink

Ask those who speak in tongue ,if they can explain the meaning of what they say? One guy above said its only God (who gave the person the ability to speak in tongue) that can understand. I then ask, why will God ask us to speak in a language that we( the User) can't understand but he( the giver) only knows and understand?what's the essence? Does it not imply selfishness on Gods part?

It is a mistake to assume that speaking in tongues is synonymous with the baptism of the Holy Spirit. It is scriptural teaching which says that all who are baptized by the Holy Spirit will speak in tongues. Not all spirit filled Christians will or speak in tongues .....Eph 1> 13 Tongues was a miraculous gift that had a specific purpose for a specific time.

Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience that occurs following conversion. When we confess and accept Jesus as our Lord and personal saviour. The moment of Salvation. For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body . . . ” (1 Corinthians 12:13).

the gift is a bestowment of God’s grace. It is not a natural ability that one might develop, but rather a special gift. following the listing of the gifts interpreters , teacher etc, Paul adds, “But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will” (1 Corinthians 12:11).

No one person has all the gifts, nor are we to seek the gifts...Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity (love), I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal “ (1 Corinthians 12:31,13:

New tongues or unknown language

In verses 9-11 the languages are then identified. It was a miraculous phenomenon which enabled the disciples to speak in languages which they had never learned to communicate the gospel.
And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” (Acts 2:7,cool

“So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into air” (1 Corinthians 14:9).

If you posses the gift and no interpretation ........you can use it to minister to yourself quietly especially in church. .But if there is no interpreter, he should remain silent in the church and speak only to himself and God. cor 14:28

Chai!! undecided

Acts 19: 1. And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, 2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. 3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. 4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

Acts 10: 44. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. 46. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47. Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

My friend be careful for both these scriptures contradict your postulation, you didn't even state what you alleged as the purpose of the tongues as given in that specific time. But went on to give the strangest lecture of the year.

Study broader on the subject, God will see you through...... wink
