For the NSE listed ones their financial statements are available for all to see . No doubt some failed but NNPC is a loss making enterprise and I’m sure you know that state enterprises are hardly profitable in the Nigerian realm. I’m still not sure why NNPC was established but if it was setup as a national oil company as was done in Netherlands , Italy , France , Saudi Arabia ... then it has failed . The government of these countries have for long reduced their interests in their national oil companies . In addition I’ve held informal discussions with two ex CEO ‘s of NNPC independently years apart and they both told me NNPC is not working and filled with multiple issues along with every government ( since the military era ) interfering with its operations .

I really want Nigeria to work but it appears most Nigerians share uncommon visions and desires

NNPC is a loss caused by who?
The same people willing to sell it off, I guess?
Do you know how many persons were given licenses to build new refineries in Nigerian during the 16 years of PDP ?
Do you know what made it impossible for private persons who got licenses then to build even when the economy was good as they claimed then?
Do you know why they all preferred to claim to lift petroleum products just to receive subsidy payments?
Do you really know the reason why the ajaokuta steel is still a mirage and not functioning?

If Atiku prefers to unbundled the NNPC if elected, do you not think he should be smart enough to unbundled Aso rock?
A man who claims to back restructuring but has never backed local government areas autonomy in states.

Don't be deceived by talks. It's free.

China is reforming by embracing capitalist ideals. China is a more homogeneous than Heterogeneous that favours their soicio-political system. However, Hong Kong is completely At variance With mainland china.

Hello, where's the alternate source of funds coming from And $900 billion shocked without elaborating
Shocking and shows how far removed from reality these guys in power and seeking elections are.
Our vat is virtually non existent for a start at 5%, employment tax is negligible and many sectors are untaxed. Yet a presidential candidate talks about reducing tax?

The refinery are they functioning? If no, what sense does it make to keep it and spend billions of dollars maintaining something that is still not functioning

so how will he sell it then if it's not functioning -or are you saying it should be sold as scrap.

this document is nothing but a thesis written by one of his many inexperienced graduates

Oga go and check the National assets assets sold by this same Atiku and his boss in the early 2000s.
Sometimes it's better to leave your assets to "rot" than to sell to your enemy at ridiculous price.
Nonsense.

What's the proposal for job creation
Restructuring is nowhere to be found after prof burst the empty restructuring mantra.
I think we need buhari to continue. The entrepreneural drive of this administration is worth it.
Most guys now have corporate accounts as a result of cheap and easy CAC registration. Easier to access loans and consular services (if you know)
Kudos to pmb, his investment in security worked hence it's not in Atiku's agenda.
Oga..having a cooperate account doesn't mean wealth..I have my company but thesame government have been frustrating my efforts..where do you even see the loan?

No electricity for you people in Nigeria until you are ready to pay international market prices, same goes for refined petroleum products,General electric should come and invest $16 billion in Nigeria so you will be paying 7000 Naira a month (20 dollars)? keep dreaming dreamer if you live to learn you will be lucky one day. Pdp was there for a 16 years? All your complaints have been lingering since 1978.
oga, most Nigerians would pay if they are assured of steady power! We pay "7000" (sic) and run generators most of the time -please check the cost of running the common i pass my neighbour daily, for a month. Some areas don't get light for 4 full months in a year, yet the discos collect their money (full)-is that an "international market" operational standard ? Give firms ring power licenses ,and watch GE invest "$16 billion "in Nigeria!

Still my point. Atiku cannot be trusted(and in actual sense cannot) to effect these things you put in "simple terms". He's a corrupt capitalist, political prostitute and an opportunist. Nigerians have had years of empty paper promises from these same set of old, corrupt and senile politicians. Afterall, Atiku has been a member of the same cabal that have put us where we are today.

Did u even read to the end?
These are the same promise other politicians made, I don't see anything realistic here.
I will build 5000 km road
I will build railway
I will generate 20,000 megawatt by 2025,
they are all crap, empty promises as usual.

May be because you never owned anything of great value in your life.
Imagine buying an iPhone of 300k and someone pricing it for 3k just because it's faulty. (the devalued assets are sold at less than 1% actual value)
Is it not better to keep it like that and just be looking at it?
If you are business inclined you'd know some kind market pricing are actually an insult.
Good thing Atiku will never be president. Well, of Biafra may be.
And before you call be BMC an not voting for Jubril either. cheesy tongue
