so should we assume these two words are commonly used by americans.

Americans do say "boku", just sounds more like "bookoo." Same meaning.

If you put home training + manners into a search engine, here is your first result:

Basic Black: Home Training for Modern Times

Some call it good manners; in African American vernacular, it's called "home training." With Basic Black: Home Training for Modern Times, media freelancers Karen Grigsby Bates and Karen Elyse Hudson provide a modern African American alternative to Emily Post and Miss Manners. Addressed to the growing black middle class, this user-friendly volume is filled with information on social rites of passage, the new corporate workplace and everyday rules and rituals that make for more gracious living.

A.D.M.:

Out of curiosity, do you really think blacks in the U.S. care about you or what you think? No, and I'm one of them. I don't need nor want your acceptance. Thanks, but no thanks. If you don't care about black Americans, why do you talk trash about my ethnic group? Why is it that some Africans like to talk trash about blacl Americans? Oh, that's right, you can't talk trash about others because you're unable or unwilling to stand up to those that control the economies of your countries It's funny how you say black Americans are ignorant when you are expressing $tupidity, hatred, and ignorance yourself. So, Nigerians have no problems, right? All "ghetto" Nigerians are copying blacks in the U.S.? Silly. Just so you know (I feel like a broken record saying this), not every black person in the U.S. is on drugs or do whatever stereotypical garbage you think. I've never done that.

As for imbeciles, it's you. You are the slowpoke. By the way, the word ghetto means "a place where people live." It described Jewish enclaves in Europe.

Yea, I dont have time for epistles.

I simply answered the thread's question.

Ghetto also describes a behavior. Are you ghetto? If not, chill.

Where is Seun employing these Non-Nigerian posters from? Enjoy sha

Most people on here who are basically bashing A.A's basically dont know how the rule goes over here based on the way the white man has done it
Most people, white, blacks and latinos will tell you that crack was brought into the black neighbourhood to wipe them out
http://www.justice.gov/oig/special/9712/ch01p1.htm    that is from the us justice dept(before you accuse me of yanning dust)
now consider this how come you get more jail time for crack cocaine which is a derivative of real coke, heroin and nowq look at stats, crack is a poor man's drug while heroin and coke were basically drugs for the novue-riche.
http://www.copvcia.com/free/pandora/blacks-targeted.html   now read that maybe it will snap you back to reality a little.
edit
how come you spenfd more time in jail for crack than for coke and heroin and in some cases murder
how come the drug for the rich(99% white back then) only carried basically a slap on the wrist

and for your info,I am nigerian who had such impression of A.A b4 i got here but you have to take a look at history and actually know some intelligent people to be able to come to a conclusion which is also reasonably hard but we as africans are doing ourselves a lot of dis-service when we try to remove the spec in the eye of another when we have a log in ours
we show so much hatred towards each others' tribes its sick.we hate virutally everything that is not us(by us i mean tribe) and it is evident from the numerous yoruba vs igbo, hausa vs everybody, igbo vs ijaw BS that pops up here on a daily basis

I think a lot of African guys must look up to A.As because most of them speak with this fake American accent

Man, I'd kill to be in the 70s, Black American culture was cooking, ya dig? Ok that was lame, but really? Black rage is at its peak, the age of blaxplotation films(Ganja and Hess, The Spook who sat by the door are must sees for me), the music wooooooweeeee. Black American culture is something else, I don't why they care what everyone else thinks.

*they didn't play the repeat of roll bounce. So sad. Sweeeeeeetness*

Brothers and sisters,we are playing right into the hands of imperialism. At one time i thought that the people that called themselves Pan-Africanist were stupid. However, thats when i was an unconscious idiot.I at one time believed everything these Europeans[whites] said and wrote about Africa. It was not until i read the " autobiography of Malcolm X "that i kept coming across the word Pan-Africanism.Thats when i begin to do research and realize what a dummy i had been for not reading more.Perhaps Bob Marley put it best when he said "no matter where you come from as long as you're black ,you're an African".We cannot let the fact that Arabs and Europeans are happy when we fight each other. kwame Nkrumah said it best "Africa MUST Unite".We need to have forums and discuss some things ,but the petty bickering has got to stop.Believe me i'm from Mississippi,a truly backwards place and if i can take the initative to read and research Pan-Africanism and become conscious of the fact that i am African ,then others of African descent and those born in AFRICA CAN DO THE SAME.

Im a black american that stumbled on to this site. I was interested on what africans thought of black americans, And mainly all i saw from africans was negativety. Black americans are the strongest force of any african peoples, i dont understand the animosity. Why so much hate?

Why do you care what others think of you

Never give unimportant people that power over your life and no one can validate you better than yourself. Real talk.
