Thanks a million!

Although the system isn't letting me put a message through to them.

For a company of global magnitude; one would expect them to have a vibrant cust. care team.

Shipping Lead time -

I am curious to know the lead time from shipping notification to home delivery in Lagos. Please, how long does it take & in addition, does the 14-day trial commence from the shipping date / the very first time you turn it on?

Many thanks!

My own is giving location error. On the billing address, my address is correct. On service address it just shows federal capital territory abuja.

I tried to change it and kept getting we are at capacity right now. Try again later

EDIT

I have opened support ticket because it seems this dishy has been setup somewhere in Kuje before because that seems to be where it expects itself to be. I have also enabled portability for now (So that allows me browse for now, until they resolve the matter). My first speed test gave me 31Mbps UP and 6Mbps Down.

Expecting it to improve with time. Now I need to figure out how to pass this cable into the house.

Congratulations bro! When you're big, you're big as I'd like to be like you when I grow up. smiley

With this, I hope you've made up your mind to dump that scam called DSTv and embrace the world of IPTV.

Could you clarify the emboldened? Do you mean it's been used elsewhere in Kuje before, as in it's a used or refurbished dish?

For the portability, did you have to pay for it?

It did look used. Not brand new. It works though. I’m not sure if someone has used it but the location it marked was almost 60km from where I am.

I didn’t pay for portability. In the support ticket I did say I have turned it on pending when the fix the issue

Ok. This shit is fast. My wife just play come say make I download last of us for her. 5GB in about 10 mins. For me, great buy. 5GB here wasn't even faster than 150mbps so this is even faster. The promise that it would improve in a few hours is even more impressive. No regrets so far. Hoping support fixes my residential location issue fast.

I can't understand why Starlink keeps shipping used dishes to us. It was the same experience I had with my first order. It looked used and very dusty. And because of the abysmal performance, I believed it was defective, and that was why I had to return it and got refunded.

I had hoped that my new order would come with a brand new dish, but given that they are still shipping used dishes to us, I doubt my new order will come with a brand new dish.

I intend to go get it from their office tomorrow morning, and if I am not satisfied with the looks and performance, I will return it and won't be getting another again.

I really don't mind the look as long as the functionality isn't affected. Its gonna be on the roof so I really couldn't be bothered.

Fast dot com doesn't show correct speed. It's mostly tested with USA servers far away from you. Try Speedtest, it's more accurate

Is this a flat roof or it's slant. How did you afix it to make sure wind doesn't blow it down?

Did you pay to enable portability? I'm suspecting I might have the same location issue because I had to chose a random area in CBD, Abuja before I was allowed to make full payment. I know there is service where I'll be installing it in life camp but then, I don't know if they instantly allow one to change the service location.
Re: The Starlink Thread by toluxa1(m): 5:57pm On Mar 28, 2023
Does one just go ahead with the set up on the app regardless of the service address on the account and it'll work? Service address on my account is in central area while my place is at life camp
