You already have the holy spirit inside of you the moment you originally give your life to Christ and become born again.
If you want to experience speaking in tongues then ask God for it in the name of JESUS and you will start speaking in tongues.

Yes , you can. Speaking in tongues is just one of the evidences to show that you have the holy spirit. But then, we have fake tongues now, meaning that Not ALL that speak in tongues have the holy spirit

If so, why not move up north and do proper evangelism? Paul did not preach in his comfort zone nor the first-century Christians who were persecuted for their faith. Northern Nigeria is there, China, Saudi Arabia, and Iran. Some of these people are eager to hear the gospel despite the fact that communist party and Islam is caging those who want to hear the truth. Though I have no problem with Oyedepo, coming to defend criticism of him may not help you
