1. The unlocking software is free on the internet. Most iPhones you'lll see outside the US and UK will defintiely be unlocked already, so no need to worry

2. 8Gb = 60k, 16GB = 80 (lagos prices)


That said, iPhones are in short supply now, so i'd advise you to buy ASAP if you really want one. Apple's stoopped making the older versions over a month ago, so they are pretty scarce. Let's see how easy it is to get some 3G versions

I installed the wiki2touch but have issues downloading the 2.9GB english binary database file. It loses connection with the server after downloading for a long time despite the fact that i use a broadband connection. Is there an easier/faster way to download a file that large. Or could you send me a zipped copy? Thanks.

No easy way to send you the 2.9GB file. But why don't you use a download manager/accelerator to download it?

I presume you're using the tool found on the wiki2touch page. You can get the link to the file and download it with your download accelerator.

I have a problem with viewing pdf docs because my safari doesnt load them, that safari is just useless first it won't connect with wifi because it can't find server and it won't even load pdf docs because it complains its a local file, any solution to this?

try installing either Docs or Wildeyes from Installer. They should both do the trick.

Not sure about kvip and DVD, but there's a Windows version of Handbrake out now. You can use that one for DVD conversion to iPhone format.

since theres no front facing camera (boo hoo iChat) im hanging on to my faithful first-gen iphone and upgrading when 2.0 comes out. i can do withoiut gps and 3g for now (though i must say i dig tat loopt thingy).

tez, 2.0 and app store arent out prolly coz they dont want other users to enjoy the stuff before the 3G-buying demography does. that will get 'em buying, wont it?

install ziphone ibrickr fix

(you can do this via mtn edge/gprs)

restart phone

now connect your phone to pc, make sure itunes is running

start pc suite

while your phone is still connected via usb, switch off phone (power down, not sleep)

switch phone on again.

tick box on pc suite daemon installation screen

switch phone off again

switch back on

YOU ARE DONE!!!!

i must confess, im really gonna miss apptapp installer.

tried pwnage with 2.0 first beta and it worked, had trouble reverting to 1.1.4 when it wenk PSoD on me. however im quite confident zibi has something in the works. pwnage and winpwn and all that bootneuter stuff is dangerous and im sure apple has closed the loopholes on 2.0 by now.

hey did you try cydia yet? i havent but someone says there are more stuff there than in installer and you dont need BSD Subsys anyway. bother is that it cant sit side by side with apptapp.

tried igopher for non-wifi app installation via pc. it does get the apps but seems there is a usb driver problem and it cant upload to the phone. try it, its on google code or someplace. it might work for you.
