Back to d topic, ionno what you guys are complaining about cos since I've been using Internet enabled phone(around 2011), it has always been Glo and I've never seen any reason to complain. Their H+ is as fast as light and even areas where there is no H-network, the E-network is working to satisfaction.

About the intermittent network, I guess it's cos of the level of technology in the country as it also affects other networks(most especially MTN).

more than 80% of people on this forum are complaing ur still praising Glo is this how Nigerians think? no wonder in Nigeria if a governor build one bridge u people will be singing to his name, Glo got a bad network don't defend them cus if you go mike Adenugas house they won't even open door for you

Bro, nobody is disputing the speed of glo, it is fast when it works. The problem is lots of times the data signal dissapears for no reason. I live I the heart of Lagos where every network provider in Nigeria have their best service. Yes, Lagos.... Because Lagos is the business centre in Nigeria, the population of Lagos alone is more than 7-8 states put together. If they can't get their sh*t to work in Lagos then where would they get it to work? The main purpose of business is to make profit, to make profit u need people to buy ur product, to get peoe u need a place with high population. I know another major city, port Harcourt and glo is also nothing to write home about there. So in what major city is glo really good, I wanna know.

Glo data service is second to none...its as fast as the speed of light and the best u can get in Nigeria now..for those of u complaining, may be ur data service is not at the right settings... If u r using android, set the 3G service at WCDMA,this is when u hv 3G network within ur area .or set it to WCDMA/GSM,this is when 3G network is not within ur area...in this case d edge"E" serves ur internet needs..Enjoy the best network cos u cant get it elsewhere now....Glo unlimited...

The bitter truth is all the data service providers are ripping us off.

The decision as to which service provider provides the best internet data service cannot be based on any general yardstick but a number of factors prominent among which are location and device. Airtel works perfectly in my Samsung android phone, Modem and even when tethering via USB to my laptop, but its a different story altogether with blackberry. The last time I subscribed for airtel blackberry service, it was a nightmare. I had to run back to etisalat blackberry.

Always seek for advice from those in the same area where you reside per time about which service provider provides the best internet service in that location.

For my data needs, I use Etisalat and Glo mainly. I am attracted to Etisalat for their high quality service and to Glo for their dirt cheap service. But, I have recently realized that Glo has actually been cheating me by making it appear their service is cheap. Actually, when I consider the value I get from Glo, it's actually far more costly than using Etisalat: Imagine that you'd buy a Glo data but for it to connect is a big problem. At other times, it will connect and everything shows it's connected but you can't open a single web page. Some other time, it would let you browse but with very annoying limitations regarding many sites. At other times, it's at a snail speed. These are sites that, once you change to Etisalat, it opens with one touch.

The most annoying part of it is that while all these are happening, Glo keeps spamming you with endless SMSes talking about "SUPER FAST" internet service (all in capital letters). Then, you call their customer care, they keep you waiting for ages. Then, you go to their office, you meet with very rude treatment not expected of customer service anywhere.

From my overall experience with Glo, I can say the only advantage they have is price. But I have realized even that price is deception. I believe the NCC should look into Glo Data service. But, I want first to make sure there is a sizable number of you people who have a similar experience with me. To know Glo is the only indigenous brand of all the service providers in the country and yet, patriotism is not letting them make Nigerians happier with them than with the rest is nothing to write home about. However, as I already said, this is my own experience so far. Let me hear from you guys. I don't think any service provider should be allowed to rip Nigerians off under any guise.

BROTHER, GLO IS RELATIVELY THE WORST NETWORK EVER...... YOU'LL CALL THEIR CUSTOMER CARE TELLING THEM ABOUT THE POOR COVERAGE OF THEIR NETWORK IN YOUR AREA BUT THEY LL KEEP TELLING YOU TRASH.... FOR OVER A MONTH NOW I CAN'T SURF THE INTERNET WITH MY D USELESS GLO NETWORK

Glo is the only network that downloads from 1MBps upwards even when you are not browsing, streaming or downloading anything. What a miserable internet service!

Please, what etisalat plan are you using? and what is its subscription code?

indeed Etisalat is the best data friendly. I discarded my Airtel sim. of recent I try the Airtel recent data slash which as they claimed make them to compete with others. dialing *431# for 3g for 1000# 30days. I try it but did not work and they said can work on any device. also their customer care is unreachable all the time. I replace them with Etisalat.

boss i wrote a similar thread sum mnths bck...glo is shit. Chckout yesteday i switchd off my phone several tyms jst to hv my netwrk bck. Price is truely a deception

GLO is the worst network as far as data plan is concerned. The worst is their irritating sms that says "high speed bla bla bla" I have thrown my glo sim into a soakway when i was driving through Ajegunle months ago
