Infact, selling NNPC and anything related to that will be the easiest thing to do. They will end up selling it to their cronies. Power and Oil blocks are a case study.

Who do all these fulanis think we are sef in this country? Na so Buhari do so scatter everywhere, this Atiku wan start him own again.

Please for the sake of God just sell NNPC. For years NNPC cannot refine a quart Nigeria Crude all they do is collect their JV Share from international oil companies who drill nigerian crude. They have confined themselves to sole importers of refined petroleum products a Job common Ifeanyi UBA can handle. NNPC have been reduce to political patronage

Selling isn't the problem, but I can bet that oga atiku will sell it at an extremely cheap price for himself & cronies which will end up making matters worse. Just look at all the companies belonging to Nigeria that was privatised under his watch & you will see how deceitful the man is

[s]Lol it’s really pathetic that you’re always quick label whoever makes an attempt to critique a proposed policy a propagandist. Maybe you have to go through my previous contributions on NL to know I’m far from being one. Learn to accept objective criticisms. We failed to ask the right questions on all the fake promises of APC in 2015 and that’s why we are here today, dollar exchanging to one naira in our dreams and enjoying the power sector Fashola promised to fix in 6 months. I do not think it’s wise to repeat same.

To the topic, it’s a power sector issue and it’s a whole lot. I have said a lot about it too and even most recently, on this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/4816247/protest-against-bedc-benin-native/1

You may want to read through. For those who know much about this sector, you’d know that the power sector is at best on life support at the moment.[/s]

Three paragraphs, and you can't answer a simple question.

I asked "why is it not realistic to have 20,000MW by 2025"?

Answer in clear, layman terms.

Atleast 40% pay, the problem here is if the tax officer collects 3k as tax from ur shop, he will only remit 2k I.e if they even do remit at all

These are great ideas that will greatly boost the economy if well implemented. Companies like NNPC are seriously weighing the economy down.

Privatize NNPC and sell to your cronies. Reduce taxes so that your businesses and those of your cronies would not remit funds to the government. Even though buhari is a huge mistake, I read the type of looting that would happen under atiku

Selling NNPC means it will be a publicly traded company with the govt having a minority stake (may be 30%) and selling the remaining on the financial market

That's the best thing that can happen to Nigeria

if not for anything, nnpc will be forced to publish their audited statements on a yearly basis, not this criminal arrangement we have

But then, Nigerians, being the dimwitted empty headed mofos will fight against this good idea due to ignorance undecided

Mr Man you have nothing to say. That's the hallmark of being a propagandist. You just drop a one-liner and can't back it up with a detailed exposition.

That is so 2015. Wake up. No one is falling for that anymore.

Explain why we can't achieve it or sh*t your trap.

This is what we call realistic achievable targets. Not we'll tar all the roads, revitalize railway, boost agriculture, provide 24/7 power, and similar empty, reckless promises.

These are concrete milestones with specific timelines that we can certainly achieve when there's the political will.

-Lord
But why was it not achieved in his 8 years as vice president?

But easy CAC registration is a given in any sensible government.

In fact, the reform started under the Jonathan administration. It is not a big deal.

The question you should ask is how many businesses have come into Nigeria under buhati compared to other past administrations.

That is how to know a working economic policy.

Whenever a man doesn't have plan , anything look like it. PMB has no plan for Nigeria rather using herdsmen against farmer because that's the area of his qualification.he doesn't know What economy is all about .
Atiku have plans ,he is an educated man that knows what it takes to be leader not President alone. Atiku is business oriented ,he knows what is economy that's why we want him to come and build Nigeria again. All we need to now is join hands together and chase out hunger, poverty and herdsmen in Nigeria as we vote for PDP come 2019 presidential election

How many countries do you know that will sell their government owned companies to private citizens all in the name of privatization?
Those who sold the electricity discos, how far have the fake companies improved the light situation; I'm sure you'll blame PMB for that.
The only thing Atiku knows is probably how to privatize government companies.
I think the best thing he should do is to privatize Aso rock given that he wins the election.

I haven’t decided who to vote for out of all the candidates but I don’t think Buhari should be voted back due to statistics and reality on ground. Lots of job losses , GDP growth very low, businesses are folding up , poverty at its peak. Please show me one business that started under this dispensation and have made a major impact nationally . Registering a company means nothing when the company employs nobody , generates little or no income . I fear for Nigeria if things continue this way for another four years . I’ll love to pay more attention on the score sheet during the campaign as there may be some major milestones accomplished by this government that I may not know about . Till then I don’t think Nigeria needs another 4 years of economic stagnation
