Wat is saturated about d Nigerian market for example? These networks know dey do not really have any competition dats y dey can afford to run their customer base anyhow.. The only problem dey will have to contend with is d frustration from the govt

Any valuable reason to assume that they will be frustrated by the govt or just assuming? They are welcome to come and compete with others in the market. That's what capitalism is all about. And it will allow the govt to rake in some funds in form of selling license to the new company.

This is actually the best time for them to come. Just give us affordable and quick Internet services at incredible prices. Most young Nigerians would port because Airtel, glo, MTN, Smile, Spectranet and Co are all bulls*it!!
what is Smile? It is a long time I left Nigeria.

What is this one even saying?

Like how dumb is this post. So what will you say about Airtel (owned by India) and MTN (owned by South Africa) that have been here for ages?

We need to use our brains before posting

Aptly stated.

Nigeria market is not saturated, I bet you if Orange comes in with attractive packages, low data rate with high speed everyone will port from their network to Orange.
You know that this is not possible. The cost of production is high over here couple with the fact that these operators pays multi taxes.

India and South Africa did not colonize any nation in Africa and have no colonial or neo-colonial agenda.

Maybe you studied engineering and don't know anything about how the world works

Bakassi, Chad, Boko Haram, Ambazonia, Uranium. If you don't know how these words are related don't even bother replying.

At the bold faced, you listen to too much conspiracy theories. The United Kingdom and the US have done far worse atrocities in Africa. And yes I am an Engineer but one well read to be able to decipher the truth from falsehood. Further mentions will receive no response. Cheers cool

The market is not saturated.

If they offer better and maybe cheaper calls, plus superb internet at reasonable price, then many people will port to their side.

The market is far from being saturated.
Calls are cheap but data price are fair enough

Probably they will buy Airtel and turn it to Orange... I doubt if they can compete with an already saturated market.

Etisalat tried it, it failed....there is no crime in trying... let's see how far it will go..

I wish you well.

There is competition. Haven't you wonder why smile and others still offer expensive data whereas the top GSM operators offer cheap data.?

As far am concern mobile telecommunication in Nigeria is not saturated .
As it's now nigerians need a service provider that can match & beat the existing ones .

Stick to engineering then and let social scientists analyze geopolitical security issues

Cheap data at the expense of quality service delivery? Can't you see that Glo still find it difficult to offer quality service delivery countrywide inspite of their cheap data

We don't for now. A new entrance may not make any meaningful impact. Etisalat tried it but fell along the way.

they are heavily invested in future technologies. IoT, Digital twin and loads which is the future of telecoms btw. How many people still make voice calls... data calls is the future, free Internet is also the future.
Re: Orange To Enter The Nigerian GSM Market by Nobody: 6:23pm On Jun 15, 2020
They should come as soon as possible, I'm so tired of MTN, Glo and co.
These slow ass networks really don't have any competition that's one of the reason they are just misbehaving.
