Below is a screenshot from my service provider. Check it out yourself at tmobile.nl.

Mind you, the 25euros monthly is inclusive of unlimited call throughout Europe and SMS. Yes, you heard me right

Oh.. Okay,
but I'm sure it gets throttled after about 15gb

They won’t be allowed. MTN and AIRTEL have people that will lobby against it in the government

Why won't they be allowed? The telecommunication sector in Nigeria is saturated but also unstable. They just have to come with some interesting plans and play their cards right. They will spend money but if they can provide a more robust internet plans they will thrive. We need true unlimited plans at great speed, not this nonsense ntel is doing.

A lot of factors hinders a company progress.

Operational module (long term/short term)

Product quality

Consistency

Financial strength etc

A company like orange has high operational standard far bigger than MTN or GLO.... Can they give this guys a run for there money....a definite YES.

You and I know Telecom companies here, give us shitty services, day in, day out. That gives a lot of room for opportunities. Imagine orange coming in to give you better data offer, better coverage (broadband reach and quality), cheaper rate, you stream without it buffing, make calls without being interrupted.

Won't you switch immediately to orange?
All these are what Etisalat offered yet they crashed, doesn't that tell you that something is wrong somewhere?

you don't get him Netflix took over the market from DStv showmax in online streaming servuce, did you know DStv complained when Netflix first arrived stating that it wasn't a fair competition it means they make a lot from it also.
I know what you mean but it's different from the normal subricbtions, this one has to do with searching for a movie or show and streaming it.
Now that we have Netflix, nothing has really changed. Many Nigerians still find it difficult to stream their service because of poor internet service and high consumption of data

I hope they can offer unlimited Internet for a fix fee, like they do in Europe. I pay 25 euros per month for an unlimited 5G network with unlimited sms and call to any network in Europe, please bring it to Nigeria. MTN and other network are milking us dry here.

Thank you.

They didn't crash out the market. They invested money and gave out more quality service than any indigenous company could ever do. The reason they are still relevant today is that they offer better services. That is how one Nigerian pay tv company was overhyped a couple of years ago, they even had to lie about what they would offer just to get sentiments from Nigerians. At the end they crashed before even getting started. We need serious companies in Nigeria, not those that are looking for sentiments abeg.

Operating a business in Nigeria is very hard cos of its policies and corruption riddled government officials. The parent company of etisalat only gave a fraction of it's business module to the Nigerian branch (more like a franchise), unlike MTN who moved there operational head quarters to Nigeria because they had a bigger market in Nigeria than south Africa.

Etisalat never operated fully in there capacity as a multi Telecom company in Nigeria, they only allowed the Nigerian branch to tap on there digital network for operations and that for me limited their operations to the standard already been set by MTN and GLO and we know you can't beat the other guys when they are the ones setting the pace for you.

But I believe orange can do more if they don't follow the same setup as the other Telecoms.

You want to compete in a saturated market? I pity una
they will rather start very strong. They are rich enough to buy off existing market that are becoming very dormant. Or used the power of money to buy off their way to a very strong position.

there is nothing saturated in telecoms industry in Nigeria, if they have better offer in terms of call rate, low and effective data plan with good customer care. they don't even need mast.. All they will do is to use satellite to cover all cities in Nigeria.

The market is not saturated.

If they offer better and maybe cheaper calls, plus superb internet at reasonable price, then many people will port to their side.

The market is far from being saturated.
nothing good will come from the French
