Same experience I had, When I called them last week, Only thing I did was to go to www.dhl.com, put the 10- digit tracking number and then added my phone number and email for update notifications.. Yesterday I got notification it has been delivered to lagos office, this morning i got another text message it was out for delivery around 8:30am, in less than 10 minutes i got a call from DHL they were at my office for delivery here in Abuja. (my body de itch me to ditch work begin go house to install lol!) So, I am sure you will be fine las las, It seems the item gets updated once it gets to their lagos office because the initial tracking from Starlink shows no useful info. easyyoke: |

Chuckdee: I did same too , added my number and email to notification on DHL website and when I got my Starlink yesterday , my number was on the box. The delivery driver had over 20 Starlink in the van to deliver for that yesterday 1 Like |

easyyoke:the same thing is happening to me now. I just contacted the DHL office staff close to where I live and gave her my tracking details. She has agreed to notify me once my starlink comes to their DHL office. I will go to their office with my ID card once she notifies me my starlink has arrived |

Chuckdee:I think it'll be the RV version that's been sold like that. |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by easyyoke: 7:16am On Mar 29 |
Ex0rrcist:RV is not available in Nigeria yet. Only residenial. |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by dustmalik: 9:15am On Mar 29 |
easyyoke:This is not correct. RV, now known as Roam, is and has been available in Nigeria |

Stanley08: Is reselling it an issue here cos I see a lot of adverts on ebay for the same Starlink? There are some folks that even sell for as high as 600K on Jiji. It's a pity there'll be people who'll fall mugu for such. Knowledge is truly power! Unfortunately, those buying them used in Nigeria might have payment issues like you rightly pointed out no thanks to our lical payment systems.

RV was never at any point available in Nigeria till it was scrapped and changed to Roam globally. Subscribers in Nigeria were only allowed to pay additional $10 for portablity. Portability was later scrapped and Nigerians now have access to Roam. dustmalik: |

Mine just arrive how do I go about mounting it. I have a pole on the roof for my old isp. |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by dustmalik: 4:29pm On Mar 29 |
easyyoke:Again, your entire statement is incorrect. RV has been available since late January when Starlink officially launched in Nigeria. Portability has been a separate add-on since Starlink launched in Nigeria. Also, portability is still available in Nigeria. 1 Like |

Alienwarfare:You may use the pole, just make sure that your dishy has clear view of the sky from that position, especially to the North. |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Uniqueheart: 9:12pm On Mar 29 |
Speed has been between 50 to 70 since, installed it today though, hope this would improve? I installed it on the scaffolding that’s taller than my 3 storey, Clear view of the sky. My devices can’t see the 5ghz. On my iPhone 14PM, it appears and disappears almost immediately. |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Bonzojoko: 9:59pm On Mar 29 |
Uniqueheart:I get 40-60mbps using my phone which only detects the 2.4ghz frequency. My laptop detected the 5ghz frequency and I get around 140-170mbps when I connect to the 5ghz. I also mounted mine on the roof today. I played some online pc games with it (halo infinite, overwatch and apex legends). Average ping in all the games was 140-160ms and it was smooth most of the time. Was connected to London server in apex legends. I can't see the server I was connected to in halo infinite and overwatch but it is most likely a server in Europe. Starlink latency is very similar to mtn latency in online games but starlink is more stable/consistent. MTN latency fluctuates a lot. Sometimes it goes from 140ms to 300ms and messes up your gameplay though there is no MTN 5g in my area 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by dustmalik: 10:24pm On Mar 29 |
Uniqueheart:I experienced same on my first Starlink the first day I installed it. But surprisingly, the next morning all my devices were able to see the 5ghz. If it doesn't appear by tomorrow, restart the router. |

Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Uniqueheart: 12:12am On Mar 30 |
dustmalik: Will restart it, it’s still running it’s obstruction observation since. Once that’s done, I’ll restart it. Thanks |
Re: Starlink Unboxing & Speedtest In Nigeria by Uniqueheart: 12:15am On Mar 30 |
Bonzojoko: Yet to test it on PS. My laptop isn’t detecting the 5ghz, but it detects MTN 5G own. I hope the speed picks. Need to run some downloads overnight |
